Zoltar Speaks.
We just returned from a much needed vacation to celebrate the grand finale of 16 weeks of hurling (feeling good is a really beautiful thing that I will never, ever take for granted again).
After we finished dining out one night, Zoltar began eyeing me down in the restaurant entrance. He may have even winked at me, but I'm not certain.
And, yes, it was obviously a FINE dining establishment if Sir Zoltar was in da house.
When I was a kid, I was completely convinced (TORMENTED) that a real, live fortune teller lived in those glass boxes 24/7 and fed upon the coins. Honest to blog. So what pearls of wisdom did Zoltar offer?
He said, loosely translated, "All your hard work will never pay off. Also, that WASN'T chicken."
Yep, Zoltar's still got it.
"Also, that WASN'T chicken"... haha, you crack me up!
Glad you're finally feeling better!!
you found a real live-- well not live, Zoltar? How cool is that?!
I am so glad you've exited hurling world. I am so sorry you've had such a tough pregnancy-- it's the prize(s) at the end that makes it all worth it, right?
Wow - I guess I didn't realize how sick you've been. Not fun!
This post reminded me of the movie "Big"...you know where he goes to that fortune teller and he makes him "Big". Haha!
LOL Big was the first thing that came to my mind. Happy 2nd trimester.
So, you actually paid to have Zoltar tell you that!!!??? ;)
Oh.. the Zoltar said that?!?
By the way I mistakenly put a wrong link in Mr. Linky... #5 was a wrong one.
The right link for my PSF entry is at number 6.
Dude, Zoltar is a stinker! But you...you make me laugh.
I am SO SO glad you are feeling better. That is fantastic news!
"All your hard work will never pay off." He had to know you are a mom!!!
And, the chicken thing...gross.
Glad that you are feeling better.
I'm still afraid of Zoltar!
Hahaha!!! That is hilarious!
I totally didn't know that Zoltar was a real thing. I just thought it was for the movie Big. :)
Bahahaha too funny MG! I love it :) I've actually NEVER seen something like that except for in pictures and movies. I've never even had my fortune told :(
The real question is whether or not the Zoltar was plugged in! THAT was the part about the Zoltar in BIG that creeped me out!
LOL! Those fortune teller machines always scared me when I was a kid. I haven't seen one in years.
I'm glad you are feeling better.
Ha! I LOVE Zoltar! You're killing me with the "that WASN'T chicken!
And hey, I miss you too! Glad you had a good vacation. I hope you got plenty of rest.
This was funny and I like that child like wonder that you have in you!
Oh I'm thrilled the hurling has ended. Woot to that.
You saw ZOLTAR!? NO FREAKING WAY.
And yeah, he's fa-reaky.
I have never been to a place that actually has a Zoltar -- he's rather scary looking. Would you believe he looks just like an art teacher I had once?
I'm glad to hear you're doing better, and I hope it stays that way for awhile.
I wish I had a Zoltar...
That is hilarious!!
Oh the wisdom of Zoltar.
so glad you are feeling better MG! i remember zoltar from tom hanks' 'bib' - great movie
OMG, lol!!! He looks a bit scary if you ask me :-) Glad you're feeling better. There is nothing better than getting the morning sickness behind you. Unless it's wanting the babies out pretty badly by around 35 weeks ;-)
Oh...I adored "BIG." I've seen it so many times. And celebrating the end of HURL. Congrats, woman!! That's some healthy little teeneys you've got in your tummy. :)
Sounds like, even after 16 weeks of hurling, you still have a sense of humor!
So when are we going to see the belly bump? Do you need help with the camera end of it?;)
Did you ever see the movie "Big"? Zoltar always reminds me of it...
I can't believe you aren't feeling better by now... Did you have this much morning sickness with your son?
(do you know what you're having yet?)
LOL! I've wanted to try out Zoltar since I saw Big! Glad you are feeling better.
Haha!! Such a great post. And BIG was awesome!
Glad you are feeling better. I can't wait to see photos. *hint*
That so cool...I just assumed that was made for the movie.
the chicken thing totally made me laugh. I only hope you continue to feel better.
LOL. So so so glad you are feeling better!
LOL...probably not chicken, indeed! Great shot of Zoltar. I don't think I've ever seen a real life Zoltar in person.
Glad to hear you are feeling better. Isn't pregnancy fun?? I was never one of those women that enjoyed it all that much. That glow was more like a sheen of sweat as I was attempting to not hurl. Good thing the little cuties are worth it all.
Zoltar!!
LOL! I don't think I've ever actually seen one of those in real life.
I'm so glad that you're finally feeling better! :)
THose are always fun! Love the chicken comment!
SO HAPPY you are feeling better - now let's move on to the tummy - how big are you getting! You MUST show some photos soon!!
Wasn't this from Big?? I think that was the movie with Tom hanks??
ROFL! Perhaps there really is a real, live fortune teller in there...or the cook. :)
So good that you are feeling better...
Makes me think of the movie "Big"
So if not chicken??
You always make me laugh and with so little words. Talent, pure talent I tell ya!
Hope the second trimester is treating you well!
Wish you happy mother-to-be months!
My first entry. Thanks for the opportunity. I promise - not to be regular! :)
oooooooooo I never liked those as well.
Glad your vacation was good!
V funny! Reminds me of 'Big'; now that was a creepy Zoltar!
I swear he winked at me too!
Hahaha!
So you're through with the morning sickness? I sure hope so.
Where did you go?
Isn't that the fortune teller in the movie Big? Great photo!
So glad the hurling has eased up.
Its great to hear your finally feeling better!
Ha-Ha! What a perfect PSF...I've never seen Zoltar in person. Only in the movie "Big." So glad you are feeling better!
LOL!!
My sister works at a doctors office, and they always have drug reps bringing in lunches from different local establishments. One time they brought in Chinese and my sister found what looked like mice hair in her fried rice.
So now we call it Chicken Fried Mice.
So cool. I love it! And I love him. With all my heart.
I am SO glad you are feeling better. What a relief. Also good to hear you had some good time away. Oh and that shot, creeps me out too. They are not my thing either.
So I got a new toy, come over to my site and check it out. :)
Funny how the small things in life we take for granted - like feeling fine - are put in perspective when we lose them.
Although, now I have visions of Tom Hanks playing Heart and Soul on an oversized piano with his feet for some reason.
KEEP BELIEVING
TWINS? Wow, I was sick the ENTIRE pregnancy, you are lucky to be feeling good.
I love Zoltar!
How stinking funny.
Zoltar rocks.
Those things always remind me of the movie Big. I'm glad to hear everyone is feeling lots better.
hehehe. So what DID you eat? :)
Your Zoltar totally RAWKS. Seriously, I need one of those . . . then again, maybe not.
If it wasn't chicken...I'm not going to think too much about what it may have been. ;) Glad to hear the hurling has tapered off. I finally got sick, but then I think it was 2 trips to the ER with 2 different kids and I just got plain worn out.
LOL! Thanks for the post. I guess I will try not to work so hard - good adivce!
I've never actually seen one in real life. And, I'm glad the nausea has subsided. You deserve a break - calm before the storm?
Bwaaaahahahaha! Trust you to always make me laugh! I hope that didn't put you right back into yet another week of hurling... Really very happy to hear that you are feeling better, there is NOTHING worse than nausea - except nausea ALL THE TIME.
Yay for 16 weeks! And Zoltar totally brought me back to the Big days.....where did those innocent movies go?!
:) All I can think about is BIG.
Too funny...you make me laugh :)
Happy to hear you are feeling better!!
Cute post and very neat photo!!
So glad to hear you're feeling better. Did I ever tell you I gained 95 lbs - YES NINETY FIVE POUNDS - with my twins? Maybe the first several months of sickness would have helped me ward off a few tacos - ya think?
Take care and I'll see you soon - Kellan
So glad to hear you are feeling better!! Hope it stays that way!!
Those fortune teller machines were scary to me as a kid... it always looked right at me - and then it spoke!
That is too funny!!
Hope you enjoyed your vacation!
*LOL* I've never met one of those. Just saw it in "Big".
Congratulations on no longer being sick. That is indeed a wonderful thing.
What a kidder! Glad you didn't hurl after finding out it wasn't chicken.
I'm glad you're feeling better. I remember that date getting further and further along with each pregnancy until, the last time, it never really came.
Also? I wouldn't put too much stock in what Zoltar says. I don't trust a man who over-accessorizes they way he does.
That's great the you are feeling better! Also? That Zoltar is one scary dude. :)
Dropping by from sits. Have a relaxing Sunday and make it a cupcake day!
In case you're interested my blog giveaway ends tonight. Grand prize is Juicy Couture cupcake earrings.
Twins? TWINS?!! Oh congratulations, twice!!! How exciting, I've missed two much!! lol
I'm so sorry you've been sick, I was never so glad to get over morning sickness...it's such a bad feeling. I never hurled, I just felt sick all day long...bless you. I'm happy you're feeling better!
Twins... :) two great big hugs to you!! xoxo
``Honest to blog''? !!!!! That's brilliant, MG.
Does this mean you are feeling better?? I certainly hope so girl!
This was so funny! But that photo scares me! Was that the same guy who was in "Big"? And the fortune is hilarious!
I thought that was only made for the movie. I wonder if after BIG came out if they got more popular.
Glad you are feeling a bit better.
Ha ha ha!
Zoltar makes me think of the movie Big, which I love!
All your hard work never paid off--like making cutesy food?
I didn't know Zoltar was a real type of thing. My first exposure was the movie Big. I think I saw a "real" one somewhere last summer and was stunned. I always thought it was invented for the movie.
I have never seen a Zoltar in person, and I'm so envious. Wasn't he in the movie Big?
