Oh, Come On. View My Uterus.
I'll forego the witty banter and just get right to it. I'm pregnant.
With twins.
That wasn't a typo. TWINKIES.
My eggos are 14 weeks preggo. I'm due July 1st and, already, look at least 5 months pregnant.
I've been retching vomiting 24/7 for 8 straight weeks and have lost considerable weight so I've been put on Zofran, an anti-nausea used on chemo patients that isn't working AT ALL. Oddly, dill pickle potato chips help.
The very moment I saw the first ultrasound, before my doctor smirked, before the nurse giggled, before Sam beamed - I knew. How could you not? This, right here, is what HOLYSH!T looks like.
My initial response involved a curse, a prayer, a joke about the Duggars, and a quick alert to Sam that he'll never golf AGAIN (he thinks I'm kidding). Since then, we've been excited and scared all in one breath.
I just can't grasp how I'll ever go anywhere alone with 3 kids (under 3) and only 2 arms. Does anyone have an extra limb I could borrow for a few years?
Oh, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You are going to be a great mom of three - I just know it!
I hope you start feeling better soon. Congrats again!
Adventures never cease, huh? How exciting! Congrats!
OMG That's so exciting! Congrats! :)
I hope you stop feeling sick soon.
Oh I am so happy for you!!! How exciting!! I have goosebumps!
I really hope you start feeling better extra soon!
*HUGS*
You coy one! You waited 14 weeks to tell us! CONGRATULATIONS!! I know how much you wanted another. YAY. And, you'll survive. So, do you get to find out sex early??
Congratulations!! and WOW! you kept that quiet!!
That is awesome honey!!! I hope you feel better soon! Your uterus is darling ;-)
MG I am so happy for you!!!! I cannot wait to read all about your pregnancy!! What a huge blessing :D
Congratulations! And Sorry? Yes? No? Well, I hope the sickies knock it the hell off quick cause puking all the time is pretty sucky.
I KNOW how much you wanted this, so I'm sitting here giggling, teary-eyed and in AWE.
CHEERS!
Congratulations :D
congratulations! nothing but fun lies ahead :) well, that and a few sleepless nights. but mostly fun!
OH.
I was wondering why you hadn't been posting. Congrats and good luck!
MY.
GAWD!
I AM SO HAPPY!!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!! That's exciting! And I'm sure a little overwhelming at the same time, but still very cool.
But being sick....not so cool. I was put on Zofran with both of my pregnancies too. I couldn't keep it down either at first. I started taking it at night before I went to bed as well to help with the empty stomach in the morning. The empty stomach is what would trigger it for me...so I had to start eating whatever I could keep down in small amounts, frequently throughout the day & before bed, trying to make sure my stomach was never completely empty. Stuff with some kind of protein because crackers (yuck!) and carbs just weren't cutting it. Then it started working better, and helped take the edge off.
Sorry to ramble...you may already be doing all that...but just in case, I thought I'd share what helped me in hopes that it might help you. Every day is one day closer to feeling better! You will get there soon! :)
Delurking to say Congratulations! I vomited all 9 months (but I am sure you won't!) I tried several medicines including ones you put in unspeakable locals and none helped.
I eventually found a few foods that I could eat and keep down most of the time. Wierd stuff though like chicken fingers from Arbys.
Anyway...yippeee! What a blessing!
WOW! No wonder you've been blog-absent for a while now...you poor thing. But at the same time, conGRATS!! How terrifying/exciting! And on the bright side....at least you don't have to be pregnant the entire summer. ;)
Double Congratulations to you!
That is very exciting news and I hope you're feeling better soon.
Oh mah got! Can I say I knew it? I mean, I didn't really, but a comment you left me in December made me think, "Hmmm..."
Congratulations!!!!
Congratulations! How very exciting.
Hope you feel better, very soon.
Oh MY! I can't tell you how excited I am for you - WOO HOO!!!! You know I am partial to twins and I am so happy you are going to be able to experience this truly special gift! Congratulations, Sweetie! It is going to be so fun going through this pregnancy with you!!!

GIRLFRIEND! Wow! When we found out about the Twinkies I was scared to death and everyone else thought it was sooo cute - although everyone was glad it wasn't them. Anyway - I got a girl/boy combo at 42 and it's a good thing - they were in vitro and I wasn't gonna do THAT shit again. Your uterus is beautiful and so are those tiny little peanuts.
Oh, wow! Congratulations!
OH HONEY!
OMG. That is quite some news. Congratulations, and if you don't already visit and read my friend Stacie's blog http://twinkies.bastetweb.com then hop on over.
Her two are now two years old, and she's a maven. :)
Hope you feel better asap!
WOW, Mamageek. Congratulations! That is amazing. Phew. I hope you start feeling better soon.
Wow, I can't wait to read more and see more. Congratulations from a lurker!
LOL love the title!! Congrats! I am so jealous. Hubby has always set a two kid limit..I hoped to sneak three in with twins this last time but it didn't happen :( I am happy for you, all jealousy aside!! :)
woohoo!! I'm so happy for you!!
Congratulations :)
WOW! Twins. Exciting scary congrats
Congratulations! Congratulations! Yeah, double Congratulations! How exciting! I don't have an extra arm but I happen to know a doting grandma who wouldn't mind impromptu trips a few hours south of her. :)
Wow, congratulations! They're due a day before my birthday, cool!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is fabulous news!!
And I have had two different friends deliver twins within the past year. You will be busy, but you can totally do it! :0
Yup, and Sam probably won't be golfing again! :)
Hope you feel better really soon! And I would love to see a PSF to a certain bag of potato chips! ;)
Congratulations!! Sorry to hear about the awful morning sickness. Twins and a toddler that will be interesting.
snicker, smirk, smile...
I have many friends with kids all in a row - several friends with three kids under 4 or 5 kids under 8 or 4 kids under 7. You get the idea. It can be done.
Speaking from a mother with kids less than 18 months apart, I HONESTLY think twins would be easier - at least they are developmentally the same, etc. There would be less competition.
KEEP BELIEVING
Congrats! 3 kids under 3....maybe, condolences? ;-)
Congratulations? The first time I wanted twins. I would have cursed and cried the second time. But who better than someone who can turn it into entertaining blog fodder?
Really, congratulations!
I was just getting ready to shut down Google Reader...I'm so glad I looked here!!!
Congratulations, that is so exciting. Hope you're feeling better soon.
OH, I AM THRILLED FOR YOU. And trembling. Listen, if I can do two babies 10 months apart when one started walking as the other came home from the hospital. You. Can do it. And then some. So, so happy for you! Was beginning to get a TAD suspicious when you didn't answer that last email re: more children.
YEAH!!!!!!
OH MY LORD. Congratulations but Holy Crap. Twins. Wow.
I don't even know what to say, but hope you're feeling better soon. What an amazing blessing to have twins.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I've missed being around too, but my booming photography business combined with a chronic sinus infection have kept me out of action. Sorry!! Hopefully I'll get back in the game soon.
tata. and take care!!
Brilliant news! Will get to do photostory again this week.
As my 10-year-old daughter says, "OMG! OMG! OMG!" Congratulations to you. To all of you.
Congratulations! You have already done one baby, how hard can two be? And getting out of the house is overrated anyway- that is why God made internet shopping.
Delurking to say, WOW! and Congratulations! Dill-pickle chips, huh? For me it was greasy tacos with hot sauce ~ hey, whatever works! IV fluids helped too. Hope the nausea eases soon...
Amazing, absolutely amazing! I would be freaking out and ecstatic too.
You're gonna do great and I hope you start to feel better soon!
Such wonderful news! Congratulations!!!!

It just happened to a friend of mine. Her's are 5 and 3 and they thought maybe one more. Then whoopsie! But she was cool with one more. However, it's 2 more - grand total of 4. She's a bit freaked out I think.
"This is what holy shit looks like." I love it. Congrats, I got chills for you. My sister has twins and they are great!
So, so excited for you!! Thanks for sharing this wonderful news with us... I'm looking forward to belly pictures :)

Oh, MG...I am so happy for you (and, I'll be scared for you, too)! This is so very, very exciting.
Now, what are you betting...girls, boys or one of each (unless they are identical of course)?
CONGRATS!
(I'll get over being mad at you for not telling us until you were 14 weeks).
And, I sure hope the Zofran helps. It did for me, at least.
check out thealderboys.blogspot.com - she is one of my friends with a 2 year old and two twin boys that turned 1in November.
Congratulations!
Oh and I had another friend with the same situation and the only thing she could eat was dill potato chips - must be something in there!
Well, you would have to sign up for extra credit ;)
Consider it a 2 for 1 pregnancy and don't worry, you won't have to pretend to be a reasonably sane woman for us after they are born.
Sorry about the barfarooni. That is going to stop soon right?
Best wishes for healthy twinkies!
Seriously...congrats! I am not jealous I am not jealous I am not jealous....I am SO jealous!! What awesome news... :) You can have both my limbs if my brain can come along...I need my baby fill!
At our first ultrasound my husband was actually disappointed that I wasn't carrying twins. Um hello, you get to be disappointed when it's your uterus.
Now he looks at my 17 week pregnant belly and says "Oh my God it's so big." Babe, that line might have worked on you, but it doesn't work on me.
congratulations on your twins. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes more smoothly and that you get plenty of rest.
OMG!!!!! I am thrilled for you all. My twins will be 18 in July! You are going to love every minute of it!
Congrats and continued blessings! I have a friend who just found out today that he and his wife are having boy/girl twins. From one mom of 3 to another: you are moving out of the man-to-man defense and into the zone. Forever. Have fun, and hope you feel better soon! ;)

So exciting! I PROMISE it is an adventure but it is ALL worth it! If you're really freaked (which I am sure you are) just shoot me an email anytime. I'll talk you down girlfriend. I'm so excited for you because there is so much fun ahead.
Oh - and tell your husband, my husband just got back from a camping trip and in turn I get a weekend alone. YUP! It's called "Fair Trade" in my house. LOL
Congratulations! That's exciting -- scary, too, I'm sure at moments -- but so exciting. How wonderful.
Wow,wow, wow. Congratulations. So excited for you. I'm so sorry about the nausea. Hopefully that will be the worst part. I can't wait to hear your updates between trips to the tidy bowl. : ) Yeah!
oooh!!!! SHUT UP!!!! I am so excited for you!!! ok, you need to send me your address so I can knit for you!
Ohhhh!!!!
Wow!!! And here I am thinking....what that girl won't do for readers....look at that title!!! And it's for REAL! I'm soooo happy for you! Yes, it'll be a bit scary, but you'll do just fine. I'm sure of it. And you'll feel better. Soon. Hope the medicine helps you. And try to remember to eat tiny little things all throughout the day. HUGE Congratulations!!! I was wondering why you weren't around too much. Now I know!
CONGRATULATIONS! CONGRATULATIONS!!
I couldn't be happier for you. And if I knew how you would get it attached to yourself, I would totally send you one of my arms!
If it doesn't make you too sleepy, try Benadryl for the nausea -- it can work wonders too! See, sometimes it can pay off to know a labor nurse!
OMG!! Congratulations to you. It all sounds daunting but at the same time SO EXCITING. I'm truly happy for you.
I hope you start feeling better soon.
If I were closer, I'd help you hold those babies! WOW! Congratulations!

I'm soooo excited for you... and also a little bit jealous ;)

Poor you, though, icky tummy. Have you tried Gripe Water? It's meant for colicky babies, but it helped me during morning sickness times. It tastes REALLY good. :)
OMG!! Congratulations. This is wonderful news. I'm so excited for you. I'll lend an arm. I was just wishing the other day that my house needs more children. Come over. I'll babysit and you can nap, K?

CONGRATS MG! Holy crap sandwich I am happy for you!!!!
Here's a dill pickle chip on me! Good luck, and I hope you stop retching soon.
You are going to be a fabulous mom to these new little ones--I mean you've already put the cabash on the golf game, so there you go! Master manager!
Congrats again! I'm thrilled--I hope you blog about every glorious detail!
Oh my goodness......Congratulations! I hope your stop barfing long enough to enjoy your pregnancy.
Just happened across your blog...Congrats! I have twins too. They are 11 years old and probably the coolest kids ever. Their relationship is unbelievable. They both have their own friends but nothing beats the bond they share. You will be very busy but you'll manage. The is an old book from the 70's about raising twins. The author's last name was Pink. I read the book and did just about everything the author said to do. In a nutshell, the lady just said to be strong and do what you think is best. Most of all, don't ever let someone who has a 2 year old and a baby say that it is just like having twins, because it is far from it!
Congrats! I've been doing twins (numbers 8 and 9) for the past eleven months. You're right and you're wrong. Your husband will not be golfing for quite some time. But he will golf again. I promise! If you would like info on breastfeeding multiples, check out my blog. It's the real story! Again, congrats and I know you can do it! You don't have a choice
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am sooo happy for you and what great news so early in the new year. Lots of luck and the best of wishes! xx
Congratulations :-) That is totally exciting. You can absolutely do it, so don't sweat it. It all works out, one way or another. I don't have twins but I had three 3 and under for a while . . . you just learn to juggle things carefully. Looking forward to following your very fun journey.
p.s. sorry you're feeling yucky. I had awful morning sickness and dill pickle chips were my friend too :-)
Congratulations, twins are a fabulous gift from god. Mine are 1 year already and I can't believe how quickly time flys by.
I would LOVE to loan you my limbs. I am so unbelievably thrilled for you (I always hoped for twins since it ran through my dad's family). You will be amazed at what you can do, and you will do it beautifully. I hope the sickness goes away soon!
Many, many congratulations!! (See, I said 'many' twice?!)
Just think how many more photos you can take of them.
Here's a tip from a friend - she always put her twins in alphabetical order left to right in baby photos so she know who was who later on! Clever lady!
I'm excited to follow your progress.... you've got to post tummy shots! I took one every month right up to the day they were born. Will you have them naturally or c-section?
omg!!! o. m. g!!! omg!! i'm so excited for you!!! congratulations to you and your husband!! that's so awesome!!
i guess that we'll wait to run off to our island, huh?
Congratulations. Everyone at Eden Fantasys loves your blog and wishes you the best. I would love to work with you. drewg@webmerchantsinc.com

Many congratulations!!
Ohmygosh ... what a BIG surprise for you and your husband! Congratulations and best wishes ... may you feel better soon ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
First just let me say Congratulations. I am new to your site and I was looking around and I just had to comment. You can totally do this. Just last year, I have 4 under 3, thats right I had a 2.5 year old and triplets. They are now, 4 and 19 months. It is doable, not easy but doable.
Congratulations!! Boy have I missed a lot since I've been wretched puking, too! :-) There have been jokes that I've got two, but thankfully I think it's just one. Phew. I will live vicariously through you.
Your uterus ROCKS! Look what's up to in there! I am so excited for you. :)
I have been away from PSF and just am now reading the news...
congrats! I look forward to your posts and photos along the way.
cheers....
OMGoodness!! I'm just thrilled to hear this. I look forward to following your pregnancy journey. Many good wishes for a smooth, uneventful pregnancy. Blessings Abound!
I never thought I would make it when my twins arrived, preemie and needing more attention. I had four kids five and under, heck my son was barely two! It wasn't easy but I made it and you will too. Congrats!
Wowser! I missed this post!! Congratulations. (no advise in extra arms though)
OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG!!!
I lose track of time and don't check in with you for what feels like a few days, and your suddenly expecting twins!?!
So happy for you. But seriously, OMG!!
At least you're not having 8, right?
Here is the all important post! YEAH!!!!!!!
I'm so excited for you!
I've been saying all along that I think I'm carrying twins, but I haven't had an ultrasound yet. Maybe I was just sensing your twins. ;)
CONGRATULATIONS!
Delurking also to say WOW, I can't wait for all the fab twin pics we'll see in the future.
Double congrats!
