I was just looking for a caterpillar today. They're amazing.
I wouldn't call him ugly, more like odd looking or curiously intriguing. I love macro shots of bugs. I'm not sure why since I am NOT a bug fan normally.

Well, when you see them that close up it gives you a different perspective, doesn't it? Normally I DO think catepillars are cute but, um, I think I like them better from far away. ;)

Awesome pic. But I gotta tell ya...its the really icky, ugly, slimy looking caterpillars who make butterflies. The cutsie soft ones....yeah. They make moths. ;)

Carlin may be right, but I think that's because butterflies fly around and people see them more often. I think there is something very cool about caterpillars especially the bright green ones. :)
