Oooooh! That is so pretty. I can hardly ever resist buying a few decorative ears of corn. Then when I get home I belatedly realize, OOPS, I don't HAVE anywhere to actually put decorative corn. But hey. It's too gorgeous to turn down, right?
I'm just getting ready to shoot some indian corn myself. That's a great shot -- I really need to invest in a macro lens -- you seem to be having all the fun. Children of the Corn? I still can't do corn mazes.
cute... where did you fnd those.. yup i remember it too.. scary.. happy ww! my entries are here http://sweetprettynaughty.blogspot.com/2008/09/wordless-wednesday-18.html http://memoryfilled.blogspot.com/2008/09/wordless-wednesday-3_23.html
I intentionally don't watch movies like that, but even I know what it's about, and your writing its name has just given me the heebie-jeebies. Thanks for that. Not.
WOW this shot is spooktacular! What a gorgeous shot. I have this fortunate memory issue and things I watched or did before 1985 are a blur if anything-- therefore Children of the Corn has been wiped other than the opening and a bit of the middle-- nothing to bug me in the dark.
Oh, but its so pretty! Like old fashioned Christmas bulbs or something...I don't think I've seen all of Children of the Corn, so maybe that's why I got all weird and sentimental instead of freaked. Or maybe I'm just weird. :)
you know, i'd JUST got to the point where i STOPPED thinking about children of the corn. thank you for that. dangit. i had paid up my therapy bill and all.
I would never. EVER. watch such a scary movie. BUT I love your photo of ornamental corn. I have never seen such a photo. Spectacular. I used to grow it in my garden (when I lived where one could have a big garden). Although I hated "corn worms," I loved husking it because each one was like Christmas. Never knew what would be inside, but it was always beautiful!
Yep. Badly wanted to name one of my kids Malachi--I mean, what a cool name! But couldn't do it, all because of that horrible movie! And I never even saw the whole thing!
Beautiful photo's! When I round up my kids and their friends I usually refer to them as "Children of the Corn." When my daughter finally asked what it meant, she was horrified by the answer. :)
Whenever I'm out and about, I tend to think of Children of the Corn a lot. I seem to run into cast members, if you know what I mean!
And I have never seen Children of the Corn. Swear.
Love the kernels! (:
Wow.... Gorgeous! The colors.... It could be a pattern for a fabric or beads of some sort.
Now that is amazing! Wow.

I'm thinking so THAT's how they make those red and blue chips with my salsa..
KEEP BELIEVING
Hellz yeah, that IS the scariest movie ever. I own it.
The picture has to be one of my favorites of yours.

How does that corn come out all different colors like that - so pretty! Yes - Children of the Corn - SCARY!
Take care - Kellan

Beautiful!

According to the wiki, the movie is being remade and will be airing on Sci-fi sometime next year.
I'm totally watching it and I will be hoping it doesn't suck.

What a fun picture! I didn't know what it was until I read the caption. Is it sad that I didn't know corn was ever any color but yellow?

I have never seen Children of the Corn. Don't want to.
Awesome shot!
Love that image! I fell asleep watching Children of the Corn... what does that say about me?
MALACHI!!! Wasn't that the evil bastard's little name? He scared the piss outa me. Dang that was a scary movie.
But that picture, per usual, simply sublime and GORGEOUS!

OMG -- creepy scary. Amazing picture. I love your creativity. You really are an awesome photographer.
Cool colours. Is that natural? I've never seen corn any other colour but yellow. Then again, I hadn't seen a purple carrot until this year!
He wants you too Malachai. That is a freaky movie.
Great shot though.
That is way too beautiful to eat!!!
great picture...
I don't know if I ever made it all the way through that movie, but I tend to block that kind of thing from memory.
LOVE the photo! I never saw the movie...I'm THAT big of a chicken when it comes to cracked out scary movies.

you know, i'd JUST got to the point where i STOPPED thinking about children of the corn. thank you for that. dangit. i had paid up my therapy bill and all.

My brother use to come into my room after I was asleep and say, "Wait til Malachi comes..mooo oo oo oo ah ah ah ah." Creeped me the hell out.
Wow, look at those colors...so beautiful!
Cool picture--as usual!
Never had the courage to watch that movie and I'm glad I didn't. Can't stomach scary movies!
That's crazy! It looks like it was polished with some Wet n Wild or something!
Oh yea, corn mazes - major heebie jeebies...
Wow, that is some pretty dang beautiful corn! Lovely shot of it.
Personally I watch about one scary movie every 2 years. I'm not a fan of 99% of them. I don't need the nightmares...I don't get enough sleep as it is!
That movie scared the pee outta me.
I shiver when I hear people call their children Malachai or Mordachai...
I have never seen that movie and it STILL scares me...why is that???
Oooh, shiny!!!
What a fantastic macro shot!
And have I mentioned that you have the BEST titles EVER?! Seriously, what is your secret for coming up with those?
Yep. Badly wanted to name one of my kids Malachi--I mean, what a cool name! But couldn't do it, all because of that horrible movie! And I never even saw the whole thing!
Blessings!
It really is time to start decorating isn't it. sighhh. Gorgeous color on that cob.

Awesome! Children of the Corn - freaky, dude, freaky.
Beautiful photo's! When I round up my kids and their friends I usually refer to them as "Children of the Corn." When my daughter finally asked what it meant, she was horrified by the answer. :)
