All We Are Saying Is Give Leaf A Chance.
Ah, Fall.
We're only a few days into fall and I think my camera is already tired of taking pictures of leaves. 400 shots down, 400,000 to go!
Because I will not be satisfied until each and every leaf in our yard is photographed.
This next shot (below) is a macro shot of the above leaf against light. It totally resembles a sub-division plot map, no?
i LOVE red leaves!!!!
i will come eat pie with you!!!!
Pretty, pretty leaves.
Freezing, Oh no! I feel for you.
I love those leaves.
It took us a few weeks before we got into the story time. They have been going to one since they were about 18 months or so. I was sad to not find one here on a day that we could go.
Freezing?? Already! Oh me oh my!
OH i LOVE THAT!!
You are so talented!
I just got a macro lens today, have no idea how to use it!!LOL...Lessons?!
We don't have leaves that color here - really! Beautiful!
See you soon - Kellan
Oh, I want to live in that subdivision!
My little guy was exactly the same. He's outgrown most of it, but not all.
The red leaf. It's beautiful and reminds me of home.
I mentioned I'd eat pie with you, right?
I love red leaves...
Honestly, I think autumn is the most magical season of all. Such beauty and the weather is just perfect.
Pie...seriously, MG...you are my nemesis. If it weren't so late, I would go to the store and buy one.
I just love the leaves shots.
And, my toddler improved every week at story time. It gets better when they get used to the routine.
Beautiful work, MamaGeek. Glad you liked my Verse and Worse about the stockmarket.
You might get a chuckle out of tomorrow's - it's about a US politician.
Now THAT is amazing. The pictures, not the freezing. The detail on the 2nd shot is stunning.
And storytime? It WILL get better. It's an another adjustment...
Those are beautiful!
Is it because I'm tired, or is everyone funny today? I loved your randomness points. The freezing one almost made me cry. I hope heating is cheaper for you than it is for me.
The leaves? Fabulous! Truly. I can't wait to see ever single one from your yard... seriously!
That first shot is just gorgeous. I love the water droplets.
You MUST photograph every single leaf! You must! They are just too gorgeous!
I can hardly believe leaves even come in that shade of red. I say bring on the leaf pictures!
Oh. my. gosh! I love that Macro so, so, so much!!!!!!! Red leaves are my favorites. We get very few of them here in the NW, but I just to love them in New England. We hit a record high of 92 today. Nanny nanny. ;)
Both pictures are phenomenal! My favourite is the top one, though. Love those water droplets and the variation in colour.
So you're just possibly hitting the freezing point, eh? Welcome to MY world!!
No tears in your pie, please. Loving the leaves. Keep 'em comin'!
The leaf shots are beautiful ...as is Amy. What a wonderful, amazing thing to do - be a surrogate!
Soooooo gorgeous, girl! Amy is the best.
Beautiful leaves and fabulous shots - you really are sooo good with macro shots. Toddler will eventually get over it, but cry about it anyway, it might make you feel a little better. Oh, and eat some pie while crying, that should REALLY do the trick...(:
God, I love fall colors. I love that leaf. :)
I'm in the mood to cry.
There, I cried.
I love love love red leaves. And my GOSH those are gorgeous!
And. I don't want to MAKE pie, I just want to EAT it.
coooooooooooooool! i took tonnes of tulips (spring tulips!) at our local gardens yesterday. posting a couple tomorrow
I love that you go to great lengths to get terrific shots....and never disappoint. ;) Beautiful leaves!
Beautiful photos as usual.
I used to think of my son as timid when we first went for story telling at the library. He's still somewhat shy there but the strange thing is that when we went for a more active playgroup setting today, he really came out of his shell. He still looked around for me constantly but I felt a little better about his socializing skills.
I can't imagine that you go from summer to freezing point so quickly. WOW!
Wow, what lens did you shoot #1 with? Wow.
Red leaves are my favorite. I like that subdivision map comparison. I haven't tried storytime yet, but I was going to try it my next monday off.
We're still green down here....but I'm so ready for some red leaves!
Gorgeous shots!
And I can't wait for you to photograph all those leaves in your yard! Wonderful shot! Yes, I am not happy about the weather getting cold...again. Did summer just fly by at the speed of light or what??
Hopefully The Toddler adapts well to storytime. I know for our kids it sometimes takes them a few times before they are comfortable with a new thing.
Love fall leaves so feel free to keep 'em coming. :)
And if you decide to do another pie my address is....
;)
i know...the leaves in my area are still in hiding from me and my camera...I am trying to WILL them down from the trees but they aren't budging.
GREAT PICTURES.
gorgeous shots!
yep -think it's going to freeze here as well! Changed the bedding out on all the beds yesterday from summer blankets to big fluffy down blankets!
Beautiful leaves! And, yay Amy. Also, don't worry about Toddler. My babies were very cautious and reserved, too. It all worked out, and they are still level-headed, and don't rush into everything. A very good quality to have at 17. Take heart!
I miss you too sweetie peetie. Funny, I think of you so often and coming here, as usual, has made the cockles of my heart warm and fuzzy. *smoochies* and thx for not forgetting me...my job will slow down and I swear I will blog again soon. I swear. Then, I stop by more.
mmmmm.....pie....
And for those of us contemplating our first macro lens purchase, can you make any recommendations as to parameters? (My camera is a Sony A200)
Ah fall! Can we at least enjoy that first before we hit freezing? Seriously. So not ready to bring out the winter gear.
mmmm pie.
I never knew why Peter would take pictures of red leaves, and I even made fun of him for it, now I see them popping up all over the place.
more pie? I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You know how noone at your house likes pie? Well I'm free on... what day are you making it?
The leaves are lovely!! I'm freezing now, so I am sympathizing with your post (outside isn't freezing, just me).
As a Canuck, those Maple Leafs warmed my heart - gorgeous!
I think I see my culdesac on there.
KEEP BELIEVING
I love pie. I am, however, terrified of story time because Liam is a turd of the highest order. I think you rock for taking your little guy there and living to tell the tale...
These are absolutley gorgeous photos. And a hilarious title.
Gorgeous leaves!
Um...freezing?!?! Are you kidding me? It's not even October (a day, but still). We are in the 80's... I wish we were a bit cooler. Do you think we could meet our temps in the middle perhaps?
Stunning! I love red leaves, I love Fall! And I just might ask for a macro lens for Christmas! :D
Amy is an angel, yes, bless her heart!
Toddler is still a wee one. I have two sons, one is in Iraq and the other just graduated college. My daughter will turn into a teenager this year. You'll long for this day again before too long. Hugs to you and the wee one!
Come down South where we are still experiencing hot and humid weather! lol
Pie is always good! And I so enjoy your post title! :D
OMG freezing already!! That's happened fast, glad I don't live there ;) hehe. Love both shots, we don't really get the beautiful autumn colours that you seem to get.
Red. Gorgeous. I cannot believe you are already approaching the big freeze...sure you don't want to vacay near me?
Awwww I am feeling for Toddler. Oh how that breaks a mom's heart. Hope he gets more social and less scared.
The leaves are GORGEOUS! WOW! I want some of those! Oh and I want some cooler weather, too. It's 94 right now. :(
~melody~
Pardon me while I go wipe the drool off of my keyboard.
I'm ready for the season change I think. But I live in Southern California near the beach...we don't get too extreme in terms of seasons.
That first picture is so beautiful, I could almost cry.
Seriously, red maple leaves are the prettiest fall offering. As for the second picture, my house is right there, just left of center.
Hey -- I think that's MY subdivision!
Your shot of that leaf is breathtaking!
You can never have too many leaf shots. I love this time of year.
You can also never have enough pie. Just sayin'.
Beautiful leaves!! I would love to have you play Macro Monday too. :) :) Sorry I kinda have the blahs, lost a friend to cancer. :(
My older daughter hated preschool library story-time. She clung to me, cried and whined the entire time. She now loves preschool (and gymnastics and soccer).
Beautiful pic too, as always.
These are so damn lovely.
Gorgeous photos, as always, but freezing temps already?
You make all the pie you want if that makes you feel better. *hugs*
Goodness gracious woman! Freezing already? We're still hitting 90 here.
That leaf is just stunning, I wish we had seasons here.
Pie, yum.
*hugs*
Such beautiful colors thanks to fall!! Love the pictures..
love the shots here. they are so different, and of the same leaf. cool!
If I had your lens I would be taking shots of leave too. (Well, that and some interesting trees that have leaves that actually change color and/or fall off - welcome to southern California...)
I so want a macro lens.
Beautiful shots as always. My kids are a bit shy too. He should get better with time.
I can't wait to shoot some fall leaves. YAY.
Oh and send over some pie!
Beautiful photos....GREAT title! I came via David's authorblog. Congrats!~
OMG, girrrrl, you know I'm all over this. Iz my time!
Pie is where it's at. Sign a girl up.
It is freezing here in Alaska too! And I think I may have already cried...you aren't from AK are you??
Seriously gorgeous. You have skills, my friend.
Yepl, pie is the answer!
Great shots, how good is that resolution? You are truly gifted!
its supposed to FREEZE???? NO!
I love the leaf pictures--it does look ridiculously like suburbia!
Freezing temperatures would equal more pies in my book too. LOL Great macro shot of the leaf too. If we hadn't gone to Colorado I'd still be missing out on the fall colors, although the evening temperatures are dropping drastically lately.
Saint I am not, but thank you :)
Loved those shots!!
Red leaves are my favorite...so vibrant!
~AirmanMom returning to her blog...
Wow those are some great tight shots.
LOL - it DOES look like a subdivision plot!! You are making me so melancholy for FALL. Here in the low desert, we have no fall whatsoever. Na da. I miss those forests that look like shades of a fire - and the crisp fall air!!! Sigh....
Oh the colors.... Soooooo .....
Stunning. Both of them. I am in total awe of your amazing talent...and just a wee bit jealous of your color changing leaves!
the leaves are lovely. And we froze here yesterday. So I already cried, but will shed an additional tear for you. sniff. But pie always makes it better, so there you go-- full circle.

Our leaves are just starting to turn.
These are perfect.
Your leaf photos are great. You are so talented! Nothing compared to your photography, but I got some great shots when we visited the pumpkin patch yesterday. I will post on Wednesday then you can critique me like Simon and tell me how bad I am :)
