Barbie is so over-rated. K-Girl spent the entire story time tonight brushing her hair and then called us back up 10 minutes after she had "gone to bed" to come get Barbie. She had a pillow, blanket, and brush for her and strict instructions to "feed her 10 foods and then brush her hair and tuck her in and kiss her goodnight". My daughter is weird. *LOL* I'm looking forward to army guys with the boy.
Oh, and Barbie isn't much fun at all. All of those little shoes and the clothes needing to be changed every few minutes...too high maintenance, that chick!
my daughter NEVER liked barbies...or dolls, for that matter. i'm usually venom or some other super heroes arch enemy. that's a far cry from skipper or kelly...or even ken!!!
To repeat the so-true phrase in the first comment...
You and me both, girlfriend, you and me both!
Guess what, had to send in my Brand New 50 mm lens for repair - ALREADY! Seems the AF stopped working. I'm not gifted enough yet to manually focus on a moving target!
awesome shot. these boys all deserve medals for their conquering of that mound of stuff.
the irony of me (some of my posts, anyway): i never played with barbies as a kid. weeble wobbles yes. barbies no. see, i was *prettier* than the weeble wobbles...
Well, my step daughter certainly never did barbie and it took until high school for any girly tendencies to come out at all. But that's ok. The world would not be half as exciting if our kids were predictable. LOL
That is too cute! My daughter was into cars and trucks for a while but then the Princess gene kicked in and it was dress-up all the time! Great picture! Happy WW!!
I hear ya - and now at 9 Barbie is OLD news to my daughter - and my son would rather bury them or play in the dirt rather than play with them...Great shot!
Yeah that makes 2 of us...Barbie has long gone from my dreams...with 2 boys all I see are soldires, wrestlers, trains, cars, firefighters, snakes, dinasours...need I go on...secretly though I have to say I'm sorta happy my boys don't have to live up to the expectation of being "like a Barbie"...but yeah I miss Barbie, Ken and their cool convertible pink corvette! Ha...
Haha, what a great shot! My cousin and I have decided that some weekend in the future, when we can find time, we are going to secret ourselves away and pull out our Barbie's and have a wonderful weekend game. But shh, don't tell what nerds we are. ;)
When I was a child we had GI Joe dolls. I had thirteen Barbie Dolls and Two GI Joes. I also had one KEn doll, but he was a wimp and usually under the bed with the dust bunnies. GI Joe rocked!
I never had Barbies until I was 12. I begged and begged and got two at that age. Of course caring about them by them was short-lived. Now my daughters have piles of them (gifts from family and friends), and I'm grateful they play on their own. Don't think I could handle that game!
You and me both....my daughter, the sugar and spice Princess? doesn't do Barbie. *sigh*
I miss Barbie, Ken and Skipper....
Loving the shot....have you even taken that macro off yet?
Soon it will be dinosaurs, trucks, and let's never forget all the bodily function noises!
::giggle::
Like always, a great picture. I, too, miss Barbie. My daughter would rip all their heads off if I bought her some now.
:)
Hmmm. There's a thought. Maybe you shall!
I have those little army men scattered All Over The House. And they hurt when you step on them with bare feet!
You and that macro. I want one, darnit!!
KEEP BELIEVING
My husband puts these up all over the house. He "hides" them in random places for me to find. Like in the freezer. or the shower.
Can't the Barbies and Army men play together? There's got to be a Camo Barbie out there.
Great photo. Probably one of my faves!
I miss those days that I played with these figurines. Happy WW! :)
Ha! You and me both! ;)
Wow, I can't help myself but want to study this picture in detail. VERY NEAT. And I know what you mean, no Barbie here either.
You take amazing pictures girl!!!
This is so cool! Sorry but I think it's a great shot. LOL - Happy WW.

I LURVE that shot! So does my son. Having a girl, I STILL dont' get to play with Barbie and the girls. :(
This is a fascinating photograph. This should be stock. Please check your e-mail, I will be sending an inquiry shortly.
I LOVE that picture!
Having two girls, I'm thankful for every day that passes in which Barbie is *not* part of our lives.
Cool shot! :)
Awesome shot! My little guy would just love to relieve you and play with A for a while, ya know? He loves his army men!
Oh, and Barbie isn't much fun at all. All of those little shoes and the clothes needing to be changed every few minutes...too high maintenance, that chick!
Great Shot!
They look as if in action.
What a great little architect! They are assembled so perfectly. And, who knows, you could still get Barbie, right?
my daughter NEVER liked barbies...or dolls, for that matter. i'm usually venom or some other super heroes arch enemy. that's a far cry from skipper or kelly...or even ken!!!
Too fun!
My Little Man is way to busy with tractors to play with army men:)
Don't miss Barbie. Luckily, Marvel Girl and B have never met. Yet.
MG, you amaze me every week. The detail on this shot is...amazing.
Boys toys are cool too. Just ask Isaac and Jon.
I'm still figuring out how to play with cars...is that a picture of what's next? If so, I'm in trouble.

that is so great
Nah . . . no blood. That's good. :)
great picture! so funny .... :P
I think you need to make a "coffee table" book of all your fabulous photos - REALLY!
Have a good Wednesday - Kellan
awesome shot. these boys all deserve medals for their conquering of that mound of stuff.
the irony of me (some of my posts, anyway): i never played with barbies as a kid. weeble wobbles yes. barbies no. see, i was *prettier* than the weeble wobbles...
That is a perfect shot. I totally hate barbie and love that my kids play with other things. Maybe someday for you though.
I would have no clue what to do with boys. Currently, we are on dolls. One day...Barbie!
*Fingers Crossed* anyway.
lmao omg that's hillarious!!
I always played Army men with my brothers. Our favorite was to shoot them down with rubber bands
Buy a Barbie and she could go on a USO trip.
Great shot! Barbies have their own issues....too many naked Barbies around can get annoying!
Wow.
Wow.
Wow.
What a cool picture! I dig it chick.
They all look very happy though especially the one with the grenade
Well, my step daughter certainly never did barbie and it took until high school for any girly tendencies to come out at all. But that's ok. The world would not be half as exciting if our kids were predictable. LOL
Great shot with the army figures!
I hated Barbies growing up. My girls want to play with Barbies almost no-stop. I think it is thier way of torturing us...
Too funny! Wonder what he'd do with a barbie?
Well Rambo might be happier with a girlfriend... perhaps Barbie could be worked into the equation somehow?? :)
Be careful what you wish for...;)
That is too cute! My daughter was into cars and trucks for a while but then the Princess gene kicked in and it was dress-up all the time! Great picture! Happy WW!!
Neat picture.
Love this!
I'm dying over here with your camera skills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Barbie ain't got nuthin' on Joe!
I hear ya - and now at 9 Barbie is OLD news to my daughter - and my son would rather bury them or play in the dirt rather than play with them...Great shot!
They look so darned happy to be in combat!
Great picture!
My boys are beyond toys now, but luckily, my daughter, almost 12, STILL loves her Barbies and the rest.
I totally played with GI Joe and Transformers :-) They were awesome.
Dolls are dolls, right?
Great photo.
Hee hee, I love the clarity of the shot! Brilliant macro!
Is there a soldier Barbie? ;)
Ha...
Great pic!
We haven't entered the army man phase yet, thank goodness!
It's time to soldier on!!
Did he do that configuration all by himself?!! And then did he knock it all over with a blast from the hose? :)
And maybe you will yet. ;) Great picture ~ my husband would love it if we'd had boys to buy action figures for!! Only Barbies for us!!
Haha, what a great shot! My cousin and I have decided that some weekend in the future, when we can find time, we are going to secret ourselves away and pull out our Barbie's and have a wonderful weekend game. But shh, don't tell what nerds we are. ;)
So, that is what I have to look forward to with little boys. Good times!
When I was a child we had GI Joe dolls. I had thirteen Barbie Dolls and Two GI Joes. I also had one KEn doll, but he was a wimp and usually under the bed with the dust bunnies. GI Joe rocked!
David sent me.
I just love to come here and see such wonderful photography. You are gifted!
Your pictures are always so creative!
Those soldiers look way too happy to be brandishing heavy weaponry.
you can still play with Barbie, she is bigger than those little punks ;)
Too funny.
They refuse to be moulded into our ideas don't they?
Over from David's.
Those soldiers do bring back memories. I remember setting up epic battles. I must have had a couple thousand of those.
You can put nail polish on the soldiers' lips....can'tcha?
I never had Barbies until I was 12. I begged and begged and got two at that age. Of course caring about them by them was short-lived. Now my daughters have piles of them (gifts from family and friends), and I'm grateful they play on their own. Don't think I could handle that game!
You almost made *me* want to play with those plastic little fellows. Well-done!
LOL...just saw this again. You might still have your Barbie moments, huh ;-)
