Evidence of Aging

I often
The other night he came home early and suggested we go hiking so I could photograph whatever I like within the thirty mile zone (which quickly narrows my options to farm fields, insect infested woods and/or Target).
Crumpler and I were waiting in the car before he actually finished his sentence.
I don't know why or when it happened, but just a simple field of wheat during the golden sunshine hour is enough to amuse me and my camera these days.

what an amazing photo! did u blur the top yourself or is that straight out of the camera? seize the day huh? sounds like lots of fun.
It's enough to intrigue me, too! Love the shot and the title.
I LOVE fields!! (I have to say that because we're surrounded by them and I'd go crazy if I didn't force myself to believe it....) I especially love the brilliant yellow of the canola fields right now. I haven't gotten any pix yet that I'm satisfied with, but I'll be sure to post once I do!!
That is a beautiful shot. Since my Hubby works strange hours (and of course I NEVER complain), I haven't escaped to catch my photo yet, but I will!
your husband takes you places? he...*hikes* with you? they can do that? i think i got the wrong kind at the (husband) shop.
niiice photo of wheat. i'm thinking this is very early in the how-it-becomes-cereal chain.
wow. beautiful picture! :)
Wow, I love that picture. Beautiful!
now see, I totally would have photographed Target.
I do like the field though. :)
I guess this confirms it: You're "out standing" in your field. Sorry, sometimes I can't help it.
Mamageek,
Your photography is beautiful! Thanks for stopping by my blog :) I'll be back to drool over...I , mean appreicate...your art :)
I love the picture. Simple yet not.
How did you find my desperately needed cut lawn???
The detail . . . I feel like a tiny bug looking up!
From 15 or 20 years ago, I have a very similar picture of barley. It's beautiful. It needs to have a picture of it!
You're hooked, my friend. That's all there is to it.
Amazing shot! I'm equally impressed with your pal, Crumpler. That is officially on my wish list now!
I so love your pictures, maybe one day you can teach to take beautiful pictures like you do.
I hope you have a great weekend.
love the wheat....reminds me of home.
I finally got a chance to play your game. It will definitely make you laugh!
You have a good hubs, I think.
And now I'm singing "Fields of Gold" in my head.
Beautiful shot, those are green gold grains.
Thanks for hosting this.
FABULOUS!! You are just getting better and better and better. I love your photos!
Take care - Kellan
What a great shot. And how nice that your hubby thought of the trip. :)

Great perspective with the lens. That photo is beautiful and it makes me want to go lay down in a field somewhere and look up at the sky.
You certainly are a talented photographer! I would love to see what things would catch your eye to take pictures of in Target:)
And I LOVE that you are entertained by it!! Seriously. I don't know anyone else who can capture the things you do the way you do. Truly a gift.
Amazing depth to this photo!
So peaceful.
You just lowered my b.p.
and calmed my muslce fibers.
Thanks. I needed that.
That's what I was hoping for. I'll just enjoy your photo instead.
I won't consider it aging until it's cream of wheat! In the meantime, way to make a go of it and enjoy the moment. Cool picture, and I love that your camera has a name! Even better.
I must say that that's quite a shot for just randomly jumping in the car and going. 'Course with your talent, it's not surprising.
No matter what you are taking a picture of, it always turns out gorgeous!
sounds like our house sometimes. I get home from work and then it all starts. Before you know it it's bedtime.
Being relatively close and all I could spend a lot more time going to the mountains capturing "grand landscapes". Being realistic that really can't happen all the time.
I just love the photo you got this week. It's not a grand old master or whatever you would call it. But it is captivating, well composed and have all the right elements. It may "just" be a wheat field but I like it. very very good photo. It's one of those that would be photo stock material. Maybe a cereal producer would pick it up and use on the boxes :-)
Hope you had a good hike in the area and enjoyed it :-)
ohh and btw. with my latest experience it's probably good you didn't go to target since apparently most stores don't allow you to photograph in them. Something about being scared of other stores "stealing" their shelve stacking ideas.
That is a wonderful shot! You have an amazing eye!
That is a really neat photo.
Beautiful perspective and colours. Gorgeous shot, MG.
That looks like it came from a book!
That's beautiful! And how kind and loving that your hubby would suggest the hike for your benefit. He might be a keeper, right?
Don't you just love your Crumpler?! I love mine tons!
#27 is a retard. Could you delete her please? One week, I will get this right. I put the link to my last photostory. Sorry.
what kind of camera to you have? use?
I have a Canon Rebel XT EOS and CAN NEVER get my lense to zoom this close!
Why is it that your Rebel pictures look so much better than mine? Probably because I literally have no idea what I'm doing. Great shot!
Wonderful shot - love the detail and the blue sky behind. Fantastic! I have heard good things about the crumpler bags. I opted for a J. Jill bag but it is big for just a casual outing.
Oh that's a nice one. Very peaceful.
I can see why you would so thoroughly enjoy fields of wheat with your camera. Beautiful shot!
I'm back to play PSF again. I've been gone and busy of late, so it was fun to join in.
Have a great weekend! :D
Darn! I can't view the pic! And I really do love pics of wheat! I"m sure it's beautiful.
What a great picture! With results like that, I would be fascinated too!
a field of wheat holds many possibilities
You might be one of the few people that don't live there that could appreciate Kansas.
Maybe because everything you take with your camera looks freaking amazing? :) I love this photo!
It could be because you do take amazing pictures, and with the zoom you've got going on how could you not find every little thing fascinating. :)
Oh! Me Likey!!!
Beautiful as always
Wow, wheat! Makes me want to take a hike.
Seriously! What is up with Favre???? Could you imagine him going and playing somewhere else?
I feel sick.
Ooh, very cool! :)
Very cool shot! I dream of fields and barns and woods and -no not Target.
I got mine up - finally!
love the wheat!
Love the clarity that you captured!
What a beautiful picture .. I have never seen a wheat field up close and personal!
beautiful!
thanks for stopping by my blog. i am lovin' this PSF stuff...new bloggy friends YAY!!
Phew. Posted just under the wire. Almost missed it this week. Beautiful shot. Thanks for hosting again this week!!
Oh, that's a lovely picture.
And I hear the "long hours" issue. The later it gets, the longer each minute gets. Take advantage of late sunsets while you can!!
amazing detail
Beautiful photo, as always. You need to tech me your secrets! This week taught me that I am a terrible photographer! I am sorry I missed PSF this week. I didn't get around to posting while on vacation.
Glad you got to spend some good time with your guy and get some good shots.
KEEP BELIEVING
Lovely shot...it reminds me of a summer afternoon relaxing and th ebreeze swaying! LOVE IT. LOVE the TITLE TOO!
OK - I missed this one b4. I must've been having a life or something; but, lemme tell ya. This takes me home to a place of calm, laid back, friendly people. I miss that. Nice job. I love you. *smoochies*
