No Really, He IS My Child.
When Toddler was in utero I was downright CONVINCED, kudos to mother's intuition of course, that he would come out looking just like me (and, well, be a female). Hence began my journey of shamelessly and consistently being proven wrong by a child.
Toddler was born a clone of his Dad. Not only is he a spitting image of Sam's looks, but he actually came out holding a golf club asking what time ESPN's Sports Center was on. True story.
Thankfully, he inherited TWO undeniable traits from me. A love of Salt and Vinegar potato chips and a love for all things animal.

They are both adorable!
Great photo!
GORGEOUS! wow, this is a really fantastic photo (loved the true story).
great photo and story!
I've been conducting some informal research, and it's my theory that the firstborn ALWAYS takes after the Dad.
A boy and his dog. It really doesn't get much better. Well...maybe a boy, his dog, and a bag of salt & vinegar chips! Gorgeous shot.
Awe..what a great picture!
That is a FABULOUS snap.
I am totally laughing at the similarity of our titles this week...right down to the all caps IS!
bwahaha! I love that he came out holding a golf club. *snerk*
What a sweet photo!!!
There's not much sweeter than a boy and his dog. Too cute.
That is such a sweet picture of them! Kids have a way of proving us wrong time and again don't they?
Wow, what a sweet shot.
Oh. I love it! I'm an animal lover myself. :)
Great picture!
AW that is the sweetest photo!!! I had hopes of Miss M looking like me, but she is all Daddy, even the attitude. Don't let him tell you different.
That just melts my heart. Over and over again. From a fellow animal lover AND S&V potato chip fan.
They are so cute, great photo friday
Aw...that's precious. I'm hoping you didn't take that shot recently, cuz I can imagine how hard it would have been to get back up afterwards. Either that, or your still there. Are you?
As for MetaGirl, I swear the number of people who ogle her and try to get me to answer why the kid looks nothing like me...OMG. Yes, she's mine. No, my husband does NOT have blue eyes. Yes, she's lovely and she looks nothing like me. Any other compliments you'd like to bestow on me?
BEAUTIFUL shot!!! Awesome!
Mmm..them chips are good!! He's smart too I see..so that would make 3!:)
I am not exaggerating even a little here: I just told my husband that I loved coming over here because you take the best photos of anyone I know online. Anyone. Every single one you post is magnificent. I just got a new zoom and macro for my d-slr, and I have lofty aspirations of ever producing one photo as good as yours. It's a great experiment.
What cuties, both of them :) Hope you're feeling good!

Another beautiful EPCOT sunset
Oh, both cuties.
And, you said the magic word...salt and vinegar chips. Izzy loves them, too!
i'm sorry, but sour cream and chives it the ONLY way to go
amazing photos - love long haired labs (right?) oh, and cute kids - like that little dude on the left...
glad u enjoyed my vid!!!
Beautiful photograph MG!! I absolutely love it. Definitely one that should be framed :D
I loooove me some S&V's ;)
Lovely image. And will he be a photographer as well?
Very cute!
salt and vinegar chips? - you would LOVE Canada. They love their vinegar up there.
KEEP BELIEVING
Adorable!
Wow!! Sweet photo!!
Aaaaaah. I love this picture!
AWWWWWE - that is the most precious photo ever!!!! He is too darling - your boy child!!!
That pup - ugh!! You know - the one I swore I wouldn't let my children talk me into. Love him! He's too cute for words and I am - the alpha dog - he follows me everywhere. I'm too old to love another dog!
Love your photo! Hope you are doing well and those babies are doing well. Have a great weekend!!!
Kellan
I have a theory that if a child looks like one parent, s/he will have character traits of the other. Hmm....
what a great picture
Beautiful. My son is much more like me and my daughter is more like her dad. I can't understand her at five and can only imagine what it will be like when she's a teenager!
This is a great shot... Very priceless, if I may add.
I LOVE that picture. I love his semi-profile and the way it melds so well with the dog's face too.
Boys will be boys....perhaps our two are separated at birth.
That photo is as cute as it gets. I really pulls my heart strings. ♥
Amazing photo!
I'd love to overhear their conversation. ;)
Aww, how sweet! :)
Same for me. I didn't recognize my oldest son when he was born. Great picture!
What is it about a boy and his dog anyway? It's like they are born bonded.
I thought that when I had my boy I'd finally get a child that would look a bit like me, considering my daughters don't. Ha. Ha. Ha. I'm the lone cheese in my family.
Fantastic shot! Hope you are feeling well;)
So cute! Love it when they get so engrossed in something. Makes me stop and take a look too.
have a great day!
Had to look carefully there to check they weren't look at Salt and Vinegar Crisps!
our children seem to always manage to give us something we don't expect. what a beautiful photo!
As always, a lovely photo. And I remember when my little one was in utero, I was utterly convinced he was a girl and I named him Charlotte. Turned out I was completely wrong ... but I did have the good sense to NOT name him Charlotte. ; )
Very sweet!
I was sure my girl was a boy...so much for that intuition stuff. ha
Isn't it amazing the little personalities of children?!
PRECIOUS picture, so speaks to me :)
That is a great photo! I just LOVE it!
I'm completely in love with this picture!! Wonderful!
:o) BJ
LOL. How funny. I've always known mine were girls -- but they've always looked just like daddy. I'm hoping this one looks somewhat like me
OH MY WORD.
Is that just the sweetest pic or what???
A boy after mommy's heart. I love it. Great PSF!!!
Wonderful picture and too true commentary. W.W. will always look more like Daddy than me, however his personality and smile will always remind me that he's mine too. :)
I'll just have to cross my fingers with the next one for a few more facial traits. LOL
that is the most precious picture!
lol. Hope you are doing well growing those twins, which I am SURE will look just like you ;)
GREAT PHOTO!
Hope you are keeping fine, Mamageek!
Great photo! Thanks for hosting!
~Liz
That's adorable :) Sounds to me like he got the best of you!
Now that right there is precious. I don't care who you are.
Sam is your husband right? Cuz I was confused with the picture of the dog and all.
That right there is photo perfection. It warms my heart and produces insta-smile.
I had to look back at this picture and make sure there wasn't a chess board between the two of them.
This is one sweet, sweet photo...
How you feelin' these days?
What a very special photo!
This is my first visit here. I love this concept and I love photography. Thank you for letting me play along!
OMG I absolutely adore this picture!! That's one that needs a frame.
this is so sweet!
That's something that should be blown up and framed. SO sweet!!
Now that just warms my heart! It's one of my favorites of yours, I think. :)
Precious photo! I always thought my kids would be just like me and discovered, same as you, that much of their father had come through. Not fair!
Sorry I missed PSF this week! :( I even knew what I wanted to put up just got so overwhelmed that I had zero computer time Thursday - Friday. But the rummage sale is over now and I can go back to life. :) Maybe I should do two next week?
What an awesome picture!
Nothing like a little boy and his dog.
What an amazing photo!!
Funny cause I KNEW I would have a girl and that she would come out screaming for her ESPN. And she did. ;-)
Great photo!
Children try to proove you wrong at every turn.
That pic is adorable. I hope you delivered the golf club via c-section...
I can just see you trying to crouch down, shove your belly out of the way...just to get this shot! Your fastidious determination never ceases to amaze me....along with your macro lens I have been Jonesing after since forever.
This is so cute! I finally got one that looks like me with baby #3!
Hey - not like you have anything to do but read blogs or anything, but if you get a chance look at the picture I took and posted on Mother's Day. I'm SO proud of it. One of the best photos I've ever taken.
My first born came out looking just like me, but soon morphed into a total dad clone. The picture is fabulous!
It's amazing isn't it, the things we hope our children will reflect back to us. He's beautiful.
At first, I thought the two of them were sharing some S&V potato chips. Whew!
Great shot.
Holy super adorableness!! So friggin cute - your furry and un-furry kid!
Awww that is perfection there.
