This Bud's For You.
O Spring, where art thou?
Snowy and cold skies have been upgraded to rainy and cold skies. Although we are now consistently in the 40's each day, I yearn for color and warmth. Well that, and I hear getting out of the house now and then has some perks.
Today we went searching for signs of life in the yard. All we found was 305 bountiful weeds and this bold little bud.

So, we went back inside the house and devoured a bag of pastel M & M's (the bestest candy in the land). Problem solved.

M&M's always makes things right in the end! :) Love the beautiful bud reminding us color is coming!
I would love to see a bud! Instead we have seen snow and felt cold.
M&Ms really can make everything better! We've had non-stop rain too and I'm sooooooo ready for warm weather! Off to grab a few M&Ms myself now...
I love that picture! And, pastel M&Ms.
Very cool photo!! It's hot here and you are welcome at my house any time! When those twins are born you should come visit - that would make 7 kids total - eeeek! Still - come any time - we'd love to have you in TEXAS! Stay warm and take care - Kellan
Well, I've been rained out of our yard for the last 5 months, but I can tell that I've got you beat. 506 weeds. So there.
and 5 rat holes.
Boo-yah.
Beautiful!!
Yummmmy M&Ms...love them. Seeing that bud has me wishing for spring even more.
I did go out to weed this morning while the sun was out...soon as it hid..so did I! :)
Oh thank you for sharing these signs of spring. I needed that.
Beautiful capture and I love me some M&M's too! We got a snowy blizzard after a day of like 70 so, yeah, Spring needs to get in gear!!
Hope you and the babes are doing well!
What a great picture! I love looking around the yard and finding new buds and flowers. Oh, and M&M's are like the best candy...EVER!
Very funny. M&Ms cure a multitude of ailments. Beautiful picture.
Hmmm maybe m&m's can replace my peep addiction. I keep waiting to see signs of my hostas, any day now....
That's such a wonderful shot, MG.
If only they were M&M buds you would be thrilled! :)
You're lucky ~ we're still at least two weeks weeks away from finding any signs of life!!
I don't DARE have M&Ms in the house! I will eat them all in one sitting, within 30 minutes of them entering the front door! :)
TGIF!

The picture of the bud is great! Hope you get to see more colours soon - It's already April...
That'll so fix anything, won't it? Beautiful shot, spring is slowly on its way!
a bud's better than nothing!!! awesome pic
Spring is coming! That looks like one of those plants in Little Shop of Horrors.
Gorgeous shot as always.
I'd say you chose...wisely!
England is already flowering every where.
great photo
MG, that is one of my favorite shots of yours...it's lovely.
(Did I just say lovely??? Am I turning into my mother?)
Wait. I think you live next door to me. And if not, we are sending you babysitting love.
M&Ms solve all of life's problems, don't they? Maybe we should send some to the Pres?
Nothing takes the yuck away better than those little morsels that melt in your mouth, not in your hand.
Beautiful shot of the bud.
I'm complaining about the weather too...can you send some M&M's my way?
Doggone Wisconsin weather. Grr.
Okay, how long did it take you to count all 305 weeds?
And now I'm craving pastel M&Ms, thankyouverymuch.
cute story - We have no buds here either!
That's just beautiful.
I'm not so sure there was a "we" when it comes to M&Ms. But, that bud is definitely for you!
M & M's rock! Love that photo too by the way!
Well that little bud will spring forth! Great picture!
M&M's always make everything better, don't they. :)
We have buds here, but that's about it. And snow in the forecast for next week.
Ugh.
Very nice bokeh.
Nice bokeh. Do you what type of plant it is?
can't wait to see it bloom...
I'll have that bud!
LOL! M&Ms! Yes they do solve a lot of problems :)
Love the photo of that solo bud.
I don't think I'd survive in a colder climate! I start getting so depressed by winter's end. And then the beautiful sun shines and everything turns green!
where art spring, indeed....i am sooo ready.

Isn't it amazing how those weeds just shoot right up. They even beat my crocuses this year (which still have yet to flower).
Yayyy for spring buds! Boo for cold weather. I am ready for warmth.
Weeds will outlive even roaches, I do believe. Lovely picture.
A little chocolate always helps!
That is an amazing shot of the bold bud. And speaking of buds, how are your two little buds doing? Let me hear from you...
Chocolate makes everything better, doesn't it?? :) Beautiful shot of the bud. I have seen a few green things poking up out of the ground, but hear we may have some snow/mixed/rain showers coming up. *sigh* Spring would be so nice, wouldn't it??
Lovely photo! Chocolate is the best! Congrats on the POTD from authorblog!
Well head on down to Texas girl! I know you probably don't want to hear it, but we are in full swing Spring here.
But I totally understand you taking the "chocolate therapy" approach. That's what I would do too!
I'm with you! Where has spring gone?! Where has the sun gone?!
Love your bud picture.
Better living through chocolate...my motto exactly!
GORGEOUS SHOT!
love the shot of the lonely little bud...hopefully spring is on its way!
now i really am dying for those m&m's i didn't buy at the store this am...
I have signs of spring on my blog. :)
Mmmmm M&M's are delightful! :)
Great pic as usual!!
Bring on the sunshine! I'm so excited for spring. :)
Yum... love those pastel ones... I feel for you,
we've been in the 70's and low 80's for several weeks and if it hit 65 my kids are freezing!!
Hope spring shows her face soon!
The pregnant person in me has to ask if they were dark chocolate M&Ms.
But then the regular adult says that shouldn't be the first part of my comment, and instead I should once again compliment you on your amazing macro shots.
And what is it with weeds? They're all over our yard too. At least they are something the butterflies and bees are feasting on, but stil....
Oh I love that macro!
Mmmm, chocolate. I <3 m&m's, especially dark chocolate ones :)
i posted a link to last week's post, so i posted another link to my post for this week. i hope that's ok.
Well, I have to admit this week I talk about snow. Spring and the wind have arrived in NM, but we W.W. and I were in Chicago over the weekend and it snowed, of course. We haven't had any snow to play in around here so W.W thoroughly enjoyed it. ;)
Hope you're feeling well.
Thanks for hosting this meme - I'm having a lot of fun looking at all the blogs! And a great excuse to avoid cleaning my apartment!
Love the headline! And my husband has been obsessively photographing the tree out front ... I'm hoping to have a Photo Story Friday post soon about the blooming of our tree!
I am over from Davi's POTD. Congratulations...! Your post deserves the nomination. Great pictures. & MMs. I am off to have some lilac ones.
Mmmmm.. M&M's....
First time I've seen Photo Story Friday . . . great idea! Thanks!
Love this post (especially the part about the M&Ms...could use some of those right about now :-} ) Your photography is brilliant...and your blog beautiful! Congrats on your mention in POTD!
I've been desperately looking for signs of buds here and now it's happening! Spring is here!
Great shot of the bud. Would make for a fun "what do you think this looks like?" kind of test.
I left an award for you on my blog. Hope you are doing well.
works for me...
Tres cool! And if it is spring you want... Come on over here! Well actually the past two days were summer! But it should be low 70's and showers the next 2 days.
Oh that is so lovely.
Wow. What a pretty picture. Hopefully it'll warm up here soon and there soon, too! :)
Beautiful capture, and if the M&M's had peanuts, I couldn't agree more! (I feel like I'm getting a little protein then!)
