The Shadow.
One of my favorite, hands-down, memories of this summer had to be lawn mowing.
Yes, I AM that easily amused.
Whenever, wherever and whatever lawn design Sam mowed, Toddler adamantly followed in his footsteps. For an entire acre.

With snow being fore casted in our near future (WAH!), we're thinking we better purchase another snow blower.

Aw! I love it :-) Very adorable. Let me know if you find a mini snowblower!
Aw! I can just see him with the little lawn mower.
With pictures like THAT, no wonder you have such fond memories of lawn mowing!!! It's completely and totally adorable!!
that is just the CUTEST photo! i love the colour and composition
Oh my! That is just too cute!
And YAY for summer pics! :)
Exact. Same. Mojo. I absolutely love it;)
That is the cutest thing. I take it he's a wanna be like daddy boy.
Sounds just like my little boy! Last year we had to get him his own little shovel so he could help daddy shovel the driveway!
Lovely photo by the way!
What a cute story and a cute picture!!
Okay, I think that is one of my favorite shots of yours. He is just oozing CUTENESS!!!
Snow already? Oy!
FANTASTIC picture!!
Is it just me, or is Mr Linky missing?
Jay
That's adorable.
And oh, how that makes me long for summer...
Establishing lawn order!!!
(Sorry - I couldn't resist that.)
What a darling photo...Way to go little man!!
Haha, what an awesome picture! So very cute!! And the colours, the focus... you just know how to really make pictures talk, MG!!
I am amused that easily too.
This shot is a story all by itself.
Dads, even dads who try to pretend they're cool (like me) love to think of our sons following in our footsteps -- figuratively and literally.
Put that boy to work, make him earn his keep.
Adorable shot! Is that the mower that blows bubbles as you push it?
It is snowing here. The kids are so excited.
He's wearing his Badger gear! LOVE it. And, dang your grass is green!
That is an awesome photo. So cute.
Awww, what a cutie pie. I have a shadow too. That is a perfect shot. And man I already miss warmer weather.
We need a new blower too. Dang. :( Hey, you free nest weekend sometime? We should meet up. :)
Love his little shortstuff legs! so cute!
THAT is just too darn cute. I love it. My kids do the same thing but they lose interest after a while.
That's too cute!
The shot is precious. I hope you have that in a frame somewhere!
that is absolutely heart melting...so adorable!
What a precious moment you captured. So heart-warming.
my heart just exploded!
Word? Wow.
That picture is a-freakin-dorable!
We've had snow here for a solid week already, the kind you can actually build a snowman with. It's going to be a loooong winter.
That is just too cute!
Oh, how cute and what a great photo!!!
I got my new zoom lens (still no Macro yet) for an anniversary gift from hubby! Need to get out and practice. I'm never going to be as good as you!!
Have a good Friday - Kellan
I LOVE this picture. TOO stinkin' cute!
Well hey, isn't this why we had kids, to put 'em to work? ; )
I love your pictures so much!
Really cute. Even from the back, I can sense he's so serious with what he is doing. :)
This is my first time to participate in photo story Friday. I'll go around later to check on others' pictures. :)
what a cute. i have a son, toddler also. What ever I do, he will do also :D
hope you have time to visit me at my post also
So sweet! I love that he has his own itty bitty mower.
We may be getting some snow soon, too. How I wish we were neighbors! We could totally use your crew. :)
That photo is just beyond adorable. My tooth hurts because it is so darn sweet!
Happy PSF!
that pic is DARLING. seriously truly precious!
What a great photo and a great little lad!
Lets hope that by the time he's a teenager, his interest in lawn mowing will still be there!
Oh I miss those days of green grass and lawn mowing... I am SO not ready for winter!
I love this photo - what a sweet little guy you've got there. :)
Oh that is so sweet. Looks like you'll have a great helper in a few years!
Hehe that's so cute!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that shot! How precious!!! Fabulous shot!
love the photo....I remember when my kids were that little, they wanted to follow, too.
great memories.
That is so absolutely cute!!!!
LOL...they do like to do what Daddy does, don't they? What a cute shot of the boy! Oh, and it looks so lovely and warm...I miss summer so much right now.
Yep, time to invest in another snow blower. Funny story...we don't have one because I like to torture my husband...anyway, so Kai was out helping hubby shovel snow last winter and one of our neighbors came over with his snowblower. I think his wife saw the child labor and told her hubby to help LOL!
That is soooo precious.
BTW, the PSF code has some errors in it. (Maybe just repaste it...it says spelling error in it, so it doesn't work for me)!
Oh this is utterly ADORABLE!!
oooh, I love this picture! You inspire me to work on photo taking skills (or lack of!!).
Over from David's . . . :)
Fantastic photo!
That is adorable.
What a darling photo of his shadow.
That is precious! One of Monkey's favorite things is to follow me around when I mow our yard. He needs his own little lawn mower! ;-)
Simply adorable!! Just get him a little shovel!!
Oh my goodness! That's absolutely adorable!
That's an adorable picture. :) I bet it was a sure fire way to tire him out too. Too bad it doesn't work so well in the winter when kids tend to be house bound.
Good luck with the snow!
my fiance would love you. He gets excited about using his tractor to cut grass or move snow.
You know Ive never mowed a lawn
That is adorable!! I love the bright green grass, it makes me think of summer - which is always a GOOD thing :-) My little guys used to follow us around mowing the lawn too . . . I can only hope it lasts a few more years!
I have pics like this of both my boys follwing with their little play mowers. Love it!
Snow. ~shudder!
Daddy and Sam . . . Sam and Daddy.
Simple memories like these are sure to last forever.
And then the day Sam says, "I don't want to mow the lawn," you can bring this photo out and remind him of how much he LOVED it!
Right now J is into following us around with his very, very loud lawnmower. At first we thought is was so cute, then I wondered why I didn't get one with a MUTE button. Oh, well. He may be loud, but at least he's adorable!
Boys and their toys!
What a fantastic shot!! You couldn't have posed it better.
Total. framer.
I am new here! What a great blog :)
adorable...I love pics of the kids,w hen they are unaware..they're the BESTEST!!
Your yard is beautiful! No wonder it left you with such good memories.
Hope you find a mini snow blower!
Aww that's too cute! Teaching him early so in another year or two he'll have himself a job while mom and dad sit and sip something fruity while overseeing him. Because you know it would be irresponsible parenting not to supervise. ;)
Now that is just so SWEET!!! And yip, another snowblower it would have to be... Good luck with that (-;
Adorable! I love pictures of kids from behind...something so real and not posed. I think you are right about the snow blower!!
ugh, i hate snow.
That is a beautiful lawn. I have grass envy.
Oh, and the kid is cute too. ;)
How cute! Gonna get a toy snowblower too? Love the shot, it's great!
This is a magic shot! The lttle guy looks so intent on being a part of what needs to be done! Beautiful!
That picture is to die for! :)
Cuuuute!
Also, Hi! Thanks for hosting the blog posting inspiration. :)
Awww, that is too precious!
You most definitely need another snow blower. This is a great thing. Maybe when he's 4, he can just take over!
WONDERFUL photo!
Hey I hope you have an awesome weekend! Check out my blog to get your awards with l♥ts of l♥ve from me :) ♥ Hugs! :) Shauna

Ok- ADORABLE! It just goes to show they DO watch EVERYTHING we do!
A precious little shadow!
Oh that makes my heart ache!
Aw, bless. Good to see a summery picture during this cold snap we're having.
(Hoping to be back to PSF soon! Too busy and ill to get out with my camera at the moment)
That is an adorable photo... sometimes my daughter follows me with her little vacuum cleaner, but not for an acre!
Snow... we would be so unprepared. My kids are still wearing shorts and they don't really own a winter jacket that fits!!
That is sooo cute! If Fisher Price isn't making a mini snowblower someone needs to suggest it to them!
That's IT! You could make a fortune!!! Call up Little Tykes and suggest a Snow Blower! What a GREAT idea! The picture is too cute!
That is the sweetest! And just seeing shorts and all that green grass makes me wish for warmer weather again...
I love snow, but now that it's getting colder, I am just not sure I am ready for it!
i'm sorry, but that grass didn't even need to be mowed, it was still so short.
oh, don't even think about coming to my house in the summer, then. sigh.
(adorable pic!)
precious! Btw, your yard looks amazing.
Gah!! I missed Photo Story Friday?? Have I lost my mind? Apparently, so don't answer that.
Okay, love, love, LOVE this picture!! Toddler is so cute. Harrison loved his lawn mower at the height - even without much grass in the yard. then one day a BIG, black, not-too-cute spider moved in under the toy mower.
Need I say more?
That is such a cute photo! I can see why you liked mowing the lawn.
Good idea. Do they make plastic snow blowers?
Now THAT's a photo I'll want to see. Snow blower! Too funny.
Too cute. He looks like a little man. I cannot imagine snow. We finally are below 80's now. I am so sick of heat.
Oh I love it! He's adorable with his little mower :)
I love it!
Is that an Ohio State jersey on the little one???
Wow, what a great shot. You may also be the only person I know who has fond memories of mowing....
Your lawn (and lack of large trees) reminds me of our lawn and neighborhood. Your boy reminds me of my boys back when they would stand at the window and squeal with delight when Daddy came around with the lawn mower.
KEEP BELIEVING
so cute.
and...here we go again. another round of winter! ugh!!
happy thanksgiving honey!!
xo
Happy Thanksgiving to you, my friend.
Mine takes towels and "cleans up" the counter, floor, etc. Guess who he takes after ;-)
Lawn looks good...hopefully he'll keep it up...give you guys time to chill and drink lemonade together. You know, that thing you used to do? Spend time together. Or it just me venting?
Hmm...
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I have to say that since I've seen this picture, I've often thought about it. It is just so real and adorable. His little legs are so big and you've captured it all.
