Hello Mosh Pit.
I anticipated body-surfing the mosh pit to get a picture of him for you internets.

Thank-you-sweet-baby-Jeebus for letting me casually walk up and fore-go deafness.
The only song I knew was a Led Zeppelin re-bake. He had most of the tween girls swooning but the girls next to me, however, confessed they'd much rather suck face with Clay Aiken.
I know, I know.
I was equally naive as a teen. I attended my first concert (escorted by my brother who I rather convincingly pretended didn't exist) to the 1980's hairband RATT.
Wearing fingerless gloves, Doc Martens, stonewashed jeans and sporting an Aqua Net infused hairdo, I thought I was a certified schniznit.
Come on, what was your first concert? Please don't tell me it was U2.

great pic. My first concert was Blink 182.
KISS in makeup when I was 7. WHy my mother took me, I will never understand. I fell asleep before KISS got on stage and she put cotton balls in my ears for fear of the permanant damage to my eardrums.
KEEP BELIEVING
heh mine was New Edition. Oy.
Bad Company. Back when...
My first concert was in 9th grade. My brother took a bunch of my friends and I to see Nirvana.
Billy Squeir. Ratt opened!
I saw Bon Jovi and Cinderella opened. We sat so close to the speakers my ears rang for 3 days. No kidding.
But it was great.
Boys II Men. I had backstage passes because my best friend's dad was part owner in the radio station that brought them to our fair city. I saw one of them in his robe. It was so hot.
The next concert I saw? Color Me Badd. Oh yes. I can tell you are so jealous.
The Isely Brothers...and a week later, Billy Joel. I am an old woman...
I think (I can't recall for sure) that my first concert was David Lee Roth right after he left Van Halen. Oh, I have seen a lot of embarrassing bands... Like Mili Vanilli, and the Go-gos after they got back together in 2000. But I have also seen cool concerts since then, like U2 and REM.
My hubby, on the other hand, is very PROUD to proclaim he has seen Ratt (and other similar hair bands) in concert. He loved that crap back then...
Def Leppard! They were in the round and it was a wonderful show!
Pour some sugar on me....
Whoa, Ryan looks completely different now! And not in a good way.
My first concert was The Bangles, I think. It was general admission, we were front row, and they were all stoned out of their minds and even messed up some of the lyrics. Sad.
Since you asked (because I would never spontaneously volunteer this information), my first concert was NKOTB when I was 10. But I think I made up for about 10 years later with my second concert, Bruce Springstein.
Captain and Tenille
Does that show my age????
I saw Van Halen in 1981. David Lee Roth was so wasted he forgot the words to most of the songs. Good times!
I saw Van Halen in 1981. David Lee Roth was so wasted he forgot the words to most of the songs. Good times!
Def Leppard.
Well, my parents used to take me to lots of Beach Boys concerts and the like, but the first one that I picked?...I can't remember if it was Janet Jackson or Richard Marx.
Ratt. That's funny. The commercial I did was directed by and original member of that band! ;)
and this guy...well, I'm guessing he's from AI, but I don't watch, and frankly don't much care. ;)
NKOTB Baby! :)
He's kinda cute - if here were my kid! :-) He was born 2 years after I graduated high school!
My first concert was Queen and Thin Lizzy. It was the Day at the Races tour, and Freddie hadn't yet come out of the closet (but c'mon, ballet tights?) My mom and brother escorted my best friend and I. Mom put cotton balls in her ears (groan...). Still, it was an amazing show. No one could put on a show like Queen, at least not at that time.
Peace - D
I have to confess that my first concert of a secular band was about two years ago when my son bought me tickets to see Chicago for my birthday. It was an awesome show, but the lead singer didn't sound like I remembered. They were first popular when I was in high school, though. Does that count?
tm
The BOSS. Wayyyyy back on his 'Born in the USA' tour.
Good Times.
Billy Joel, thus setting me up for a lifetime of easy listening. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
great shot!
First concert was Randy Travis or George Straight....can't remember which. Back in the late 80's..yes, sporting the Paul Mitchell hairsprayed and teased do, made me all of 5'5...a good three inches taller!
What? Since when does Ryan Cabrerra have long hair? Hmm. I wouldn't have recognized him in a million.
My first concert was New Kids on the Block. How scary is that?
BUT, my LAST concert of U2. Does that make up for it? ;)
I'm with the oldies. My first concert was Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon..
My first concert? hahaha. Garth Brooks. I was 5. Then- I went to N*Sync when I was a tween. Styx when I turned 16.
:) Great pic.
You are like MamaGeek Paparazzi now - very cool!!!
Have a good Monday - see you soon - Kellan
I...HAVE...NO...IDEA...WHO...THAT...IS!
My first concert, Adam Ant:P Remember him? Sure you do...
Don't drink don't smoke
What do you do
Goody two, goody two,
goody goody two shoes
I know, you're jealous;)
My first concert was one of those all day stadium concerts. Yes, they've been discontinued due to craziness and summer heat. It had Johnny & Edgar Winter, Blue Oyster Cult and Kiss.
Just last year as a matter of fact...
That's awesome....I was an Aqua Net chick too...love the 80's BIG HAIR!!! (I heard from Beth Moore that it is coming back...yeah!) HA!
My first concert wasn't until my senior year and it was DURAN DURAN...I had a thing for "John", not "Simon"...it was a great night!
The next one was Samantha Fox (yep...I was an 80's Pop Chick!).
My first concert waa Judas Priest with opening act Great White. And yes, I had a mullet :-)
Hey, Nap Warden - I don't know who it was either, AND my first concert was also Adam and the Ants; 1981 at the Dominion Theatre, Tottenham Court Road. It was the Kings of the Wild Frontier tour, I think. I recall wearing purply tweedy peddle pushers. They had a bit of gold thread running through them.
My excuse was that I was 11 and it WAS Christmas.
oh I can't remember my first...a band called Eraserheads maybe. Or was it AfterImage. I would have love to see JBJ or Pearl Jam before...but that I have to be content with home viewing..
BTW, have something for you @ Makimeji.
I have to confess (with head bowed shamelessly) that the first concert I attended was Hank Williams, Jr.- I told you I am 45% redneck! The first rock concert I attended was barenaked ladies, though, does that make up for it?
I have honestly never gone to a concert....as a teenager I was not into mainstream music. I listened to opera and classical. It just screams GEEK, I know.
Oh, let me tell you how old I am.
Queen.
Thin Lizzy opened for them.
When I was 14.
My parents went to see Frank Zappa a week later and told me I couldn't attend another rock concert till I was 37.

He looks a TAD different from when he was dating Ashlee Simpson. A lot less pointy!
And....are you ready for this? My first concert was The Monkees reunion tour.
Yea boi.
My first concert was some obscure one hit wonder band called Johnny Diesel and the Mechanics or something similarly stupid.
I'm glad I'm not the first one admitting this. My first concert was NKOTB back when I was in 7th or 8th grade.
It was actually the tour when they were opening up for Tiffany. My mom took me!
Oh wow ~ that's not what I pictured from the one song I thought I knew? Great shot, though ~ you make him almost look hot :) :)
My first was New Kids on the Block, too! I'm glad to see from your other commenters that I'm not alone... I'm not always proud to admit it. But in all fairness, I was in 7th grade, with 3 other girlfriends, and I screamed and carried on like the 13 year old that I was and had the time of my life! :)
Oh what a great shot! That's amazing!
My first concert was Third Eye Blind and Eve 6 - my senior year in high school.
WHO is THAT?? I can't remember who you said. I'll go back and read again. My first concert was KISS in 1987.
Acid wash jeans.
Sleeveless shirt.
Girl mullett. Ewwww.
Converse.
Rhinestone studded bracelet.
Yikes
I am so old that I can't remember my first concert. I want to say that my first officially cool concert was Lilith Fair and then I saw Tori Amos several times after that. She is still the coolest (in my book).
What was the Zeppelin song? Nice post?
THAT's Ryan Cabrera?
Dude.
Iron Maiden when I was thirteen. My mom let my drug addled cousin and her two teen aged guy friends take me an hour and a half to the city to see a hard rock band.
I'm never letting my children out of my sight!
Oh, and I wore gray stone washed jeans, white high tops, and a blue tank top. Stylish.
My first real concert was the Dave Matthews Band. The guy that took me was irritated that I wasn't dancing. I was like, "dude, you don't dance to 'satellite,' these people are high!" And that was also my last concert. I'm just not a concert person I guess. Unless you're talking orchestra, I love orchestral concerts.
My first concert was Black Sabbath on their Never Say Die tour. It was a total washout, thanks to Ozzie passing out on stage. It was, however, an unforgettable event and it forged something in my brain that never let go.
..and my latest concert was Roger Waters, but it was very disappointing.
I just recently blogged on music and politics, and how the two should never mix.
I've been to 2 concerts in my whole life. I've been to a number bar band concerts since getting married.
It's funny you mentioned U2, made me laugh as my first concert was actually INXS while I was on foreign exchange in Paraguay in 1994. LOL
Hey my first concert was a group I had never heard of before. It was 1985 and I had just graduated high school and gotten married. My "husband" (ex now) wanted to go see this band so we did. I hated it! The group? Ratt! Only concert I have ever been to. :) Although I've seen comedians Rodney Carrington and Gallagher. :)
That's Ryan Cabrera?????? He looks a lot different...and totally hot.
My first concert was Jimmy Buffet when I was about 10? I didn't know who he was.
My next concert was Brooks and Dunn in college. Blech.
Michael Jackson's Victory Tour . . . 1984.
ooohhh I didn't know he had so many tattoos. Hmmm.
My first concert was Janet Jackson...I think black cat tour...but I can't remember lol
I'm sad: Crystal Gale & Eddie Rabbit. Enough said.
Funny.
Sean Cassidy baby. Still in love.
Prince. He rocked. Then U2.
Heidi :)
Morrissey. Somehow convinced my parents to drop 15 year old me and 13 year old sis at a venue in San Diego. For some reason my mom marks this as "the beginning of the end."
Realized I haven't been to a concert in a really long time because I had to click over to find out who that guy is in the photo.
My first concert was Amy Grant. I think I was 15 when I went...with my MOM. My second and last one was Green Day. That was a mosh pit experience. LOL!
How great that you were able to get such a fabulous photo! We were all silly teens at one time... those poor girls will realize how mistaken they were.
Love this - My first concert was REM at the Vic in Chicago - Pre-REM craziness and fabulousness. Psychedelic Furs opened for them! So much fun! Then Ongo Bongo and almost every concert that was in Chicago, Milwaukee area that summer!!
Hi! Miss you lots! You can surely bring a sweet smile with your blog. Visit my blog http://www.cafemommy.blogspot.com to see why I was gone. And yes U2 was my first concert...sorry. Glad to be back!
My first concert was Quiet Riot, my Dad got me the tickets.
Dude, what happened to his hair? He doesn't look like the same guy.
This is so embarrassing, but my mother took me to a Barry Manilow concert when I was 12. And my *teacher saw me.*
What happened to the CUTE Ryan?? WOW that is a CHANGE...yikes!
I hate to say this but my first real concert was U2....sorry don't hate me!!..
Great pics.. you are incredibly talented!!!
Oh man. Believe it or not...Flock of Seagulls and Modern English. Yikes!
Mine was Bruce Springsteen's "Tunnel of Love" tour. I actually went with my parents and one of my brothers because my mom loved him.
no it wasn't U2. It was (drum roll............) The Cars and Wang Chung!! I was in the mosh pit and the Wang Chung guy sweated on me. My friend and I tried our Aqua Net& Acid Wash Jeans Power to try to make it out of the pit alive once it started getting crazy. A very strong security guard put one of us under each arm like footballs and marched us out of there. Boo hoo I think even my Marathon Mascara ran. He was like an angel, we turned around and he was gone.....
Springsteen. 1984.
If I told you it was New Kids on the Block, would you vomit? Yeah, me too. But it was. Sigh.
Don't laugh...my first concert was Rick Springfield with my mother, my best friend and her mother...ha ha ha!
Oh wow, I agree, great pic!
If I remember correctly, mine was Bon Jovi.
I reckon Jon still looks the same.
GREAT picture! Even if the subject isn't exactly Sexy McHottiePants.
I don't want to admit what and when my first concert experience was. It's all just embarrassing. I should've known better.
PS. And no, that's NOT a hint. I have never attended a Richard Marx concert, though it pains me no end to have to admit that I recall the words of that song and who sang it!!!!!!
Ya, my first job was at a local concert venue (Hollywood Bowl). So my first concert was there...it was either the Mariachi Festival (Mariachi lovers drinking and dancing from noon to 11PM) or the Playboy Jazz Festival (Jazz lovers drinking and dancing from noon to 11PM). Either way, it's all kinda scary and hazy. I might have been better off with RATT ;-)
Nelson. Don't hate--I lived in North Dakota. It was slim pickings.
And WTH happened to Ryan? I wouldn't have known it was him if you hadn't said so. This is not a good thing.
Cringe. What happens if I do tell you it was U2? Will you be disgusted-but-not-really disgusted because you're actually jealous? Or will you actually be disgusted?
I won't tell you until I know...
My first concert was Brian Adams. I was 13 and the concert was my birthday present.
Diana Ross -- but they were freebie tickets. it was good.
actually the first concert of my choice was when i was in my 20's and it was Sting when he broke from The Police and he was promoting his Dream of the Blue Turtles tour....loved it! love him!
Ooh he's cute. First like, real concert? Pat Benatar...less than a month ago. I attempted a concert here my freshman year, but had to leave before the opener was done because my ears hurt so bad...I have really sensitive ears. But Pat was amazing!
Oh goodness, my first concert was in 1982 I think. My bf at the time took me - April Wine (Triumph opened for them)
Two weeks later we saw Aerosmith.
