Two of my kids and DH have had HF&M. It's an oddball, for sure. Speaking of the sickness, and not my family members, of course. DH was so miserable that he had to sleep with his hands in a bowl of ice water, the pain and itching were so bad. For my kids? They each had it when they were too young to complain, and by the time we figured out what was going on, the worst was past.
Bunnies! None of that illness here. My only experience with it came just a week or two ago when I did a Google image search for "foot in mouth." It wasn't pretty.
Oh, I hope your son gets better real soon and it doesn't make him too miserable. :(
Ah, Bunnies. If I were allowed to shoot a gun in the city limits they would so be toast. I figure they've eaten about $1000 worth of plants and bushes since we moved into this house. They even ate a small tree last year. Don't encourage them...it may be your undoing. ;)
Hailey had HF&M when she was two. It made her miserable and reluctant to eat, thanks to the mouth sores, but it cleared quickly and she was back to her ravenous self again.
aw. My oldest had that when he was a wee little guy. I hope he quickly gets over it. We have a bunny digging a hole in the middle of our front yard. Dang it.
Oh no! I am so sorry that you guys are dealing with that. I hope your little guy gets better. It seems one more round of junk is going around again. I look forward to the summer days and less germs.
Both my Little Guy and I were sent to the Emergency room with HF&M when we were infants. I've gotten it from him twice and it is horrible. No one else seems to get it in our family- just the two of us. Hope he feels better soon. Give him pudding and popsicles because it makes your mouth so sore. 7-up makes these great soda freezies that are great for a sore throat and a fevery body.
Aww poor kiddo. I hope he is all better quickly. I have no experience with HFandM though so no advice or wisdom to share.
I'm a bunny lover too. Everyone says I shouldn't be so fond of them being around, but I enjoy seeing them grazing in the backyard. :) You've got a cute one.
oh, yeah ... I know that one. it's been a long while since one of my kids had it. It can be so painful when it's in the mouth - sometimes can be mild, though.

Looks like you're not alone with the hand-foot-mouth. We've had it three times in our family...three kids. No worries, he'll survive! It's rough, I know. Our pedi called in Tylenol 3 to help my son sleep...he was hurting so badly from the mouth ulcers...it might be something to consider if your Boy is waking in the night. It really helped my sweet one. Prayers said for you and Boy tonight. ((((MG, Boy))))
Me too with the bunnies--except I feed everything. I was busted this winter for putting corn and lettuce heads in the backyard for the deer. Dang it . . . he still hasn't found my stash of carrots and celery :)
Never had any experience with hand foot and mouth but we do have wild bunnies running around these parts. They leave little "presents" for us around the yard.
kids have had coxsackie (hf&M) when they were wee little ones. Lasted about 3 days badly and 3 more days of tolerable whining. I had/have a bunny problem. My neighbor feeds them at the beginning of the season. By the end of the season, they are buffeting all over my landscape. I LOATHE THEM. They are SO not cute to me.
Cute bunnie picture. :) Sometimes I wish ours wasn't white with those little red vampiric bunny eyes. But my step daughter loves the evil looking thing.
WW had hand foot and mouth and it sucked and it lasted a long time and he couldn't go to daycare. It is contagious so everyone needs to be careful.
My daughter had HF&M. She just had a mild rash and a fever. It really didn't seem to bother her too much. I hope your son has a mild case, too.
Uhno. I tho't you were joking. Hope he gets better. Just take him over to the bunnies. He get well quickly. *smoochies*
HF&M is no fun. I hope he feels better soon. We have never had it, but I know others that have,
The bunny is so cute.

Bunnies! None of that illness here. My only experience with it came just a week or two ago when I did a Google image search for "foot in mouth." It wasn't pretty.
Wow, our Ku's are alike this week! Hand foot and mouth, yucky! I hope it passes quickly. But what a spectacular shot of the bunnies. WOW!
Ugh, we had it a couple years ago. The little guy had it the worst! It was awful, awful, awful! Email me if you need to.
I'm going to show Big Sis the bunny when she gets home. She's going to love it!

Our yard is full of baby bunnies too! My kids call them Cottontail and tell everyone they are our pets. Great photo!

as i remember, it included a high fever (as in 104 degrees!) for three straight days.
That's about the fifth case I've heard of in the past few weeks. Yikes!
Loving the bunny!
Nope, never have known anyone with it but I have heard of it.

Never had any experience with hand foot and mouth but we do have wild bunnies running around these parts. They leave little "presents" for us around the yard.
