omg...it's haiku friday, again!! yeesh...and, i've been so busy cleaning the house and ignoring my blogging, that i've almost forgotten!!! yeah right!! and...yes...butt naked. sigh...oh, sigh!
Blogging keeps us from doing everything that needs to be done around the house. If I ever lived with my MIL, she'll probably tells my husband to get rid of this bloggie wife!!
Okay, here is a little peek into my madness that keeps my closets clean and organized: On Jan 1 I turn my hangers around so they hook on from the back....as I wear my clothes and they get hung up the right way. Any clothes that are still "backwards" by the end of the year, get donated. If it is something I truly can't get rid of, I have a 'hold' pile in one small section of my closet. It truly is freeing to know I don't HAVE to keep clothes just because i spent $$$ on them or someone gave them to me. If I am not wearing them and they are wearable, I Freecycle them or donate them somewhere.
I would totally come do your closets if I lived closer!
It's so funny how all of us mothers go through this same thing the first of every year - cleaning out closets, rooms, etc. I'm doing the same thing over here. Good luck with yours - and, come back. See ya. Kellan
You will feel sooooooo much better when the closet is all nice and clean. I got so sick of our closet being a disaster. The hubby and I had always wanted the custom closets. Well, we finally decided to just do it, but do it ourselves instead of paying an arm and a leg for someone else to. I have to say, it has been the BEST home improvement project we've ever done in the 12 years of being married. Our closets are ALWAYS clean now. A place for everything and everything in it's place.
Oh my ... I don't even want to THINK about my closets or cupboards. Sigh! I'm a clutterbug too, but at the moment ... blogging comes first for me. Hugs and blessings,
Too funny! My cousin actually removed all his closet doors to force himself to keep them perfect at all times...that crazy cleaning streak runs deep in our family! Bet you can get 'em all straightened up over the weekend--you've already gotten a few done; just let the momentum carry you the rest of the way! Please come back soon--you're my daily read!
My kids' closet is missing a floor -- at least I can't see the floor through all the crap that's covering it. I'm not planning on cleaning it before we head out of town for the next 3 months. I'm sure it's going to haunt me from afar.
Yeah, right, you'll be back in a few hours and you know it. And if you're not, how long do you want us to wait before we call in reinforcements to rescue you? Should we assume that a whole day gone means you're buried under a pile of clothes and can't get out?
How funny. I fortunately don't have that problem. Wonder why that is. Hmmm. Good luck and I'm sure we'll hear from you tomorrow - you're addicted and you know it.
Good luck with that. Need some guide lines? It goes if it's: broken, ugly, too small/big, you have more than one spare, it hasn't seen the light for a long time you don't like it.
wanna hear a great technique for organizing your stuff and purging what you don't need? move! we've been packing for the last two weeks...6 weeks till the move...and we could fill a dumpster with the stuff we've found, and were like "what is this and why did i keep it?"
Closets...thank goodness they have doors on them. Good luck!
eh, no one really sees inside the closets. They don't really need to be cleaned! :)
Um...have a nice trip?
a little at a time... a little at a time....
OH no!! DON'T DO IT. WE NEED YOU!!
I have the same problem here. I have vowed to correct it this weekend..we'll see how that goes.
I always have things I'm going to do before blogging. But then I say- "Oh I just need to check this one thing..." And you know how that goes.
YEAH, yeah, yeah. I say this to myself all the time and yet my house is dirty and so are my dishes. And here I am BLOGGING :)
Frani
I don't believe you! You'll be back. Mine are scary. Some you just don't open.
omg...it's haiku friday, again!! yeesh...and, i've been so busy cleaning the house and ignoring my blogging, that i've almost forgotten!!! yeah right!!
and...yes...butt naked. sigh...oh, sigh!
Purge baby purge...You won't be sorry! If I lived near you, I'd come over and help...Sad to say, I love the closet purge!

Hey, no pictures of the closets? ;)

Ugh! That is ambitious! It is hard enough to keep up with my own clothes, but to help everyone else in the family?
It just doesn't seem fair does it?
Good luck! Mine needs organizing, too. It's been a year-old task already! Haaay.

Hugs and blessings,
Oh please come back. We all have messy closets and we still blog.
Cute Haiku!!
Good luck!! I hope you get it done! Haiku Friday
I hope we get to see some more fabulous posts, and that the closet doesn't swallow you whole.
When you're done, can you come clean mine? They're down there next to top-of-kitchen-cabinets on my list of things to clean.
They'll just fill up again. Really.
I wish you luck in your closet spelunking. I know what mine look like, so I feel you pain.

Oh, no. When you're done, come do mine please. They are a wreck!!!
Nooooooooo, don't leave me! But I support your decrapping. Good luck!

Blah. I go through this at least 3 or 4 times a year. I freak out and completely clean everyone's closets.
Good luck!
*LOL* I'll miss you!
Yeah though right there with you on that one. Maybe I'll tackle the coat closet this weekend.
...maybe. ;)

Craptacular Closets! Love it!!
Closets are evil!
Good luck and many clean fairy wishes coming your way!

Are you done yet? Are you done yet? Are you done yet?
Do come back! :) I agree with jennwa .. come back even if they are still messy! lol
~melody~
Craptacular is an AWESOME word.
I just cleaned out one of five closets this week. Baby steps I tell myself.
wow. if I made that vow you reall never would see me.
Good luck with that. Need some guide lines? It goes if it's:
broken,
ugly,
too small/big,
you have more than one spare,
it hasn't seen the light for a long time
you don't like it.
AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Break your vow, break your vow!!!!!
(either that, or clean really fast!)
