Save $$ - Minimize Impulse Buys
In today's world of instant gratification, it's so easy to want something and go purchase it now.
Scientific research has proven that shopping does in fact give the consumer a small "high". But for only for a small amount of time.
So how do we reduce impulse buys? If there is something that is somewhat expensive that we really really want (but don't really need) we simply wait. We wait for 2 weeks. If at the end of the second week we still feel the need to purchase it, then we'll likely proceed.
This practice has really helped us avoid some stupid un-needed purchases. iPhone anyone?
