100 Things About Me

In honoring the tradition of my 100th post; 100 things about me. I apologize in advance for boring you to death. Want the CliffsNotes version? #1 sums me up.

1-I'm the poster child for a work in progress.
2-01100111.01100101.01100101.01101011. That's binary for Geek.
3-I love the outdoors.
4-Big swiss cheese fan.
5-I need at least 8 hours of sleep.
6-If I'm really lucky, I get 5 hours of sleep.
7-Favorite TV show: 'The Office'.
8-I'm fairly athletic.
9-Yet I'm terribly clumsy.
10-I LOVE to travel.
11-Favorite repeat travel destination so far: Hawaii.
12-Favorite quote: "Don't find fault, find a remedy" -Henry Ford
13-Least favorite business travel destination: Palo Alto, CA (long story that begs a blog post)
14-A bird once crapped on me. A lot. In Switzerland. Caught on video.
15-I dislike birds.
16-Huge pet fan (except birds).
17-I have a big, over-friendly, lovey-dovey golden retriever.
18-I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
19-Favorite color: #336699
20-Second favorite travel destination: Venice, Italy
21-Web-site visited most often: amazon.com.
22-Third favorite travel destination: London.
23-I love to garden.
24-It appears, my garden doesn't love me.
25-Someone once dropped a scissors. Through my foot. Poor me.
26-Most frequently played artists on my iPOD: Blink-182, The Who, Glen Hansard, Sarah McLachlan.
27-Favorite season: fall.
28-I don't love Brad Pitt. There I said it.
29-If I didn't study computer science, I would have been a vet.
30-My dog loves me.
31-My cat isn't so sure about me.
32-Hmmmph, now that I think about it. My dog loves everyone.
33-I always later regret my vote for president.
34-I own way too many plain white t-shirts.
35-I prefer listening over talking anyday.
36-Guilty admission: I get nervous without an Internet connection after 16 hours.
37-A life defining moment was my mom's cancer diagnosis.
38-Another was visiting ground zero days after the 9-11 attacks in NYC.
39-Another was looking off a Grand Canyon ledge on my stomach.
40-Favorite Broadway show: Thoroughly Modern Millie.
41-I was on the Eiffel Tower in Paris with someone who I disliked. Alot. He proposed. I said no.
42-I love loud, scary, over the top thunderstorms.
43-My first concert was RATT.
44-Boy, I regret attending that concert now.
45-The last concert I attended was the Dave Matthews Band.
46-I NEED me some COFFEE within 30 minutes of waking up.
47-I'm thirty-something.
48-When I was in my 20's I drank a yard of beer in Germany in 1 hour.
49-I like blogging most days.
50-Some days I want to click "DELETE BLOG".
51-Favorite movies: Little Miss Sunshine, Once, Juno.
52-I LOVE my husband.
53-My husband is the most mellow person I know.
54-I always prepare for the worse-case scenario (thanks to computer science).
55-Unfortunately this makes me pessimistic. But I'm working on it (see #1).
56-I love chocolate and humor. In that order.
57-Original career plan: A Pathologist. I didn't finish medical school. I suck.
58-We took a cruise tour to Alaska.
59-I loved Alaska.
60-I dislike cruise tours.
61-I like raspberry iced tea.
62-Big fan of German engineering.
63-Of all my travels, I really dislike driving in Boston the most.
64-I run out of ideas easily. Wish I could stop here now.
65-I used to play piano. Not very well I might add.
66-Now I can only remember how to play Mary Had a Little Lamb.
67-I love my son.
68-He loves me.
69-We're a happy family.
70-With a great big hug & a kiss from me to you - sorry, digression, we watch Barney.
71-Software used most often: Visual Studio, Internet Explorer.
72-I once brought a live lobster home from Maine to eat.
73-And then somehow befriended him on the plane.
74-And cried when I gave him to someone else to eat.
75-That incident bothers me to this day.
76-I love my family. Most days. *Yawn, I know, who doesn't.*
77-I'm not a gambler but like Las Vegas shows.
78-I saw Siegfried and Roy before … you know, that little accident.
79-My favorite flower: the IRIS.
80-My favorite DC memorial: Tomb of the Unknown Soldier; it moves me.
81-I am grateful to all soldiers and their families for all their sacrifices.
82-I am grateful to GOD.
83-My favorite pizza toppings: cheese and onion.
84-I think less is more in most cases. Thank you Occam's Razor.
85-I need to slow down more. I'm working on that too (see #1).
86-I hope to retire and live someplace warm and sunny. Hawaii would do. Or Arizona.
87-I think I watch TLC and Discovery channels too much.
88-I watch Ami James Miami Ink.
89-I don't have (or want) tattoos. But I love the stories behind them.
90-Getting REALLY desperate here. I was homecoming queen in high-school.
91-I'd like to learn to downhill ski someday.
92-Favorite hobby: photography. I'm a Canon girl.
93-I think I'm rather boring.
94-Yes. I AM BORING.
95-I prefer not to use a mouse (see #2); only a keyboard. It can be done.
96-I dislike hypocrites.
97-I can speak Deutsch. Ya!
98-Yet, I rarely ever speak it.
99-I dislike shopping malls. Except for at Christmas, then AND ONLY THEN, they're tolerable.
100-We've moved 7 times in 10 years thanks to corporate relocations.
