Save $$ - Go (Lime) Green
I think we're closet tree-huggers because we tend to be environment friendly and energy conscious people. We certainly have a long way to go though.
We have found a few really simple ways to go a little green (lime green if you will) and as a result save a little money in return; here is what you can do too:
*Reduce grocery bill by planting a garden of your favorite veggies.
*Reduce electric bill by hanging clothes outside to dry.
*Reduce water bill by collecting rain-water to water the garden and flowers.
*Reduce gas bill by washing clothes in cold water in Coldwater Tide.
*Reduce gas/electric bills by adjusting thermostat 2 degrees seasonally.
*Reduce electric bill by unplugging un-used electronics chargers.
*Reduce expenses by re-using or re-cycling! Reduce consumerism.
*Reduce e-waste by recycling all your old technology gadgets.
And if you want to boldly go green, here is some great information and ideas.

These are all such wonderful ideas! We are doing exactly the same thing in our house. I have a good feeling that we would be great friends in real life :)

There are so many simple ways to save money and the environment at the same time! Thanks for sharing yours!
A couple others:
Turn off the water while brushing your teeth or shaving.
Don't double wash your dishes. Newer dish washers will get most of the crud off your dishes, no need to pre-wash them.
Turn off the TV, VCR and Stereo when you are not using them. Include the power strip, if you can.
