Baby's 1st Birthday Party

I've went all out and I'm proud to admit it. I have thrown all frugal logic out the window for our baby's first birthday party. Life is a journey with milestones along the way; this is one of them for us (even if he won't be able to remember it, we will).

His birthday is only a few weeks away. I will send the invitations (which OF COURSE match the entire first birthday boy theme) out this week. I've got the matching streamers for the high-chair, a huge mat for under the high-chair, a matching sippy cup, matching dinnerware, matching ballons . . . I think you get the picture.

I want to compile a movie of the first year of his life to show at his party. My goal is to create a DVD each year and store it in a scrapbook pocket for him to enjoy later in his life. He will know he is and always has been loved.

Do any of you parents have any other suggestions for baby's first birthday?
